Extract shiny weapon ornaments and ability to apply them to non-shiny variants of the same weapon
Title basically says it all but we need a way to extract the shiny weapon ornaments that you get from special events like the Onslaught shiny Brave weapons and then the ability to apply it to a non shiny version of the game weapon so if you get lucky enough to get a shiny weapon with perks you don’t like and then later on get your godroll non-shiny version of the same weapon you can apply the shiny ornament to it even if it means that you have to sacrifice or dismantle the original shiny version to extract the ornament this wouldn’t detract from farming as people would still farm for shiny weapons and still farm for godrolls it would just help people that got a little lucky with a shiny to feel like their time wasn’t wasted and encourage more farming for godrolls this feature should be retroactive to include the Brave armory onslaught weapons and include the shiny variants that were available from quests and should also be a feature going forward for new shiny weapons be they tier 5 or limited edition shiny weapons make the gunsmith useful and do all this through him

I think original shiny drops should dismantle into a consumable you can apply to another copy of the weapon. Almost like a memento.

6 RepliesI dunno about shiny weapons, but why is everything that drops a blazing red colour? Looking in my vault is like looking in a furnace. My dad was a sniper in Burma in WWII, and if his Lee-Enfield would have been this colour, I don't think he would have made it home alive.

Just make them into ornaments that can be earned or purchased for bright dust

Every shiny that I've gotten has been trash. Only one from ITL was worth saving. Now, if i see a shiny drop, I already know it's not a good roll. I would much rather get a momento, to use one time than a shiny which has a bad roll.

1 ReplyThat kind of invalidates the shiny aspect of it though does it not? Lets take the most famous "shiny" game, Pokemon. If you could take your bad stat shiny and convert it at the poke center into an item you could feed you high stat mon, it wouldnt really be a true shiny. I admit yes it would be very pleasing on the personal level but it would just become another cosmetic. They already made an item for the events in game that add cosmetic looks after reaching level 30 with the weapon. they look bad and are rare and are finite consumables but that sounds like essentially what you want.

Or to not have them time gated. Really sucked that the Shiny Brave weapons were only available during Into the light event. Just make them rare or with the case of Onslaught weapons, make them a guaranteed when completing wave 50. If they were to make it 50 waves again.
