This is a new Phenomenom in Destiny 2 pvp: The enemy is there and on radar, they are just not visible, yet.
- I see gunfights between my team mates and the enemy, but I don't see the enemy.
- I see my team mates shooting, but I don't see the enemy. I see them, when they are already dead.
- I see a room full of enemies on my radar. I run into that room and I don't see anyone, while my radar is going crazy.
Then the enemies suddenly appear at once, like someone turned the lights on.
For me, lately the enemies in Destiny 2 pvp are like mushrooms. They suddenly appear out of nowhere.

1 ReplyNetwork, lag, delays, regularly "contacting Bungie servers" with often being kicked out to Orbit and then advising me I should check my network. Yes, of course. All kinds of shenanigans. That's why I regularly "smell" cheating but my guts tell me it's network/server issues. I honestly believe and hope this game must face a complete breakdown with either one of two outcomes. Either they invest resources to fix the game OR they shut it down for good. I can live with either outcome.

Ya adds popping in and out of existence has been a thing for a while... Same with teleporting around and ignoring the player to bull Rush objectives... The ai running the NPC is ancient and needs a serious overhaul... The teleporting is a result of the AI not being able to path to their destination so they just teleport to it... this is a problem with map geometry in a lack of proper waypoints for the AI to pass to and from and issues with invisible collision and object flags... The enemies popping in and out of existence however is an issue with rendering be it on the engine side or on the hardware side on the user end The game can't keep up with itself so it treats enemies as invisible thinking they're not in view to save on space for processing cuz a lot of the game world is invisible until it enters your player's view physics interaction spawn points don't activate until they're within range or within view of the player creating a active bubble around your character everything else outside of it is essentially dead and not loaded if the game gets confused and loses track of such things weird stuff can happen....

1 ReplyThat's been happening for years. Not to mention getting shot from nowhere. I go back and watch my gameplay and didn't see that guy in my field of view at all. It's bad netcode, sbmm is absolutely terrible, and horrible netcode. This isn't something new it been like this for years. If the make a D3 with pvp. It needs a completely updated netcode and cbmm for all pvp Playlist.

I get this every now and then. It's annoying. It's even worse than the "ghost enemies", where you can see their sparkly silhouette, but their bodies haven't loaded yet.

Radar has been a little funky with the connections going south half the time. Opponents can move faster than my radar can detect them.

Woah! That's a new one I have experience similar, like enemies who are visible not getting picked up by radar, even though they are right there, or the enemy is moving as if they are amplified, and their movement is very high from side to side, and it's really not possible to get a lock on them at all, or they appear seemingly out of nowehere, when just a milisecond before, there was nothing there, and suddenly they are next to me, or behind me, and there was nothing on radar (titans) But enemies being right there, and invisible? I have never experienced that, holy -blam!-!

1 ReplyI experienced this in Trials a lot this weekend. The recent state of PvP has actually done me a favour. In the past, I used to get nervous about letting my team mates down if I screwed up, but I actually feel a lot more calm and relaxed now. I mean, makes no difference if you're good or bad, genuine or a cheat. You're not fighting each other but the game itself.

1 ReplySince Marathon launched, the lag, jitter and desync have increased massively, I think D2 has been given reduced server capacity in favour of Marathon. I have even seen very bad lag now in pve, something is not right.

1 ReplyI have had enemies appear right next to me or behind me that I did not see until they just appeared. The state of PvP overall has been very poor, with the worst being in control. No real issues playing clash in the world tab, but control is near unplayable with desync and jitter. I dont mind the control game mode, its just the worst experience in the game at the moment that I basically get 1 game where I feel runs ok out of 5 at most. The others, I feel that I cant challenge because I am behind on connection, or the game is stuttering with input/movement.

Could be a hunter using Gemini jester boots. It messes with you radar but can be a heavy lag as well
