  • Hello there, Thank you for reaching out. Marathon and Destiny 2 share the same Bungie Name. When you launched Marathon, your Bungie Name failed the name filter and was reset to the default “Redacted####”, which then also shows up in Destiny 2 in some places. There’s also been a recent issue where non-offensive names are getting redacted by mistake, which we are investigating. You can’t fully fix this just from in-game settings, but you can do the following: Check your Bungie Name on the website Go to bungie.net, sign in, click your profile icon → Settings → Bungie Name. If it already shows your old name, log out and back in of both Destiny 2 and Marathon and give it a bit of time; some UI can cache the “Redacted” version. If your Bungie Name now shows as “Redacted####” If you still have a name change token, you can change it once on that same Bungie Name page to something that follows the name policy. If you don’t have a token, or your original name was changed incorrectly, you’ll need Bungie to review it: Go to the Bungie Help contact form for bans/restrictions. Choose the reason related to Bungie Name and explain that after playing Marathon your Bungie Name (and Destiny 2 name) was reset to Redacted, include: Your current Bungie Name (Redacted#####) What your name used to be That it does not violate the name policy. https://safety.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/42349301189524-Contact-Form-Appeal-Ban-or-Restriction
