Alright. Let's just put all the crap aside for the moment. Yes Hunters are overtuned and most matches are against them. Yes there's obvious cheating going on for whatever reason.
But let's just sit down and discuss things that work for us in this game mode. Have you had any success with certain abilities or tactics? Best weapons? Anything to help ease the frustration, even if it's a little bit.
I want to know what my fellow Warlock mains are doing and how we can help each other.

6 RepliesYou…..you do know its rigged right? The winning class is pre determined each time. Last time Titans won and before them it was Hunters. Now its the Warlocks turn. Next will be Hunters again…if D2 lives that long. Anyway simmer down and enjoy the content.

1 ReplyEdited by NotCreative123: 4/1/2026 7:37:17 PMThere are a lot of good Warlock builds, but the most approachable is probably VoidLock. All the abilties are strong and have good tracking, so it is an exellent choice for players who have less than stellar PVP skills. Other options are: * Solar Lock - Only pick over voidwalrker if you can skate with icarus dash or rely on in-air gunplay (also, the helion helps get free damage and is probably the strongest "buddy") * Strand Lock - only if you are cheesing weavewalk * Stasis Lock - spam the turrets or coldsnaps,... Pretty easy to use, but voidwalker is better due to its consistency * Arc - would skip... melee is not that good * I don't know enough about Prismatic Warlock, but I would skip (abilties on Prismatic regen slower) In general, use healing rifts. Use burst or strafe glide for faster movement (don't remember which is better). Ophifian aspects are very strong for neutral gameplay, but eye of another world is also good. There are a lot of Exotics specific to each subclass that are pretty strong.

2 RepliesThe build that I have been using most is a getaway artist prismatic build with last Thursday. Demo/ elemental honing, heliocentric with demo/adrenaline junky. The whole idea of the build is to always have elemental honing x3 or higher active, and use phoenix dive to grab crests and activate helion. Regardless of weapon stat, with EHx3 it is a2 burst. Add in chip damage from the buddies, and it makes it quite strong. Demo allows a reload while consuming grenade and without devour, gets the grenade back somewhat quickly. I have tried a few other builds, but this is the one that I kind of come back to. Scatter voidwalker, m17 demo/MOA, High tyrant demo/MOA. Child/chaos. This really only works well against very passive players. Scatter gets dodged away from and child doesn't really stop a rush like bleak watcher can. Also, not as easy to grab crests with rift compared to dive. Lumina boots of the assembler on solar with emp rift and benevolence. Had moderate success, but i feel that it's oblige decent when you have good slayers already on the team and your role is simply to support them and keep them buffer/ healed.

Okay this is going to be a bit of a.. leap but I feel like it’s a mixture of things not being hunter is op That being its cbmm, so it’s basically no balancing what so ever But on the same time the hunters are the larger group of players and will probably have better players, I can’t just say one class is stronger then the rest when so many things are in play to make a opinion

13 RepliesAs a Warlock, yesterday in a match against Hunters, after 1 minute gameplay I checked the score: 3-33, and I got all the three points (3 kills) for the Warlocks: that means my teammates didn't get a single kill and died like flies in a whole minute. I went back to orbit. That's not a matter of tactics and loadouts, that is a matter of having never played PvP before... The amount of Warlocks I see, when I launch in a new GG Supremacy match, with a Platinum crest on the right shoulder and nothing on the left is staggering.

5 RepliesVoid Warlcok ability spam is maybe the top 2 or 3 subclasses. Definitely use that.

My tactics include pointing my gun and hoping the AA actually works like it should... So many times the cross hair just slips off targets like the AA is inverted or something it seems to happen more and more lately... And only specific players during the match and not others it's extremely fishy I think

1 ReplySorry mate, I can't help. I've been mercied every time I've played as a Warlock against Hunters.

1 ReplyI played on warlock all last night and chromatic fire on stasis is criminally under used. The damage is very high it often leaves them one shot ir one burst from dying, and the slow lasts like 5 or 6 whole seconds, its crazy. After having mained it for the last while I can tell you facing 6 invis hunters would be preferable to the equivalent of a stasis cloudstrike on every opposing guardian. If you haven't been abusing it I strongly, strongly recommend you do. My favorite pairings are 2 tap crimils, chattering bone with rampage kill clip which two taps after one kill, and chroma rush/or the trials 720 with kinetic tremors.

Edited by ODSTrooper: 3/30/2026 9:44:54 PMI had success with regular Stasis and using The Stag. For weapons, I primarily used Conditional Finality and a Perpetual Motion/Kill Clip BXR or sometimes Igneous Hammer (but use whatever you want, I just went with this sort of stuff as I used solar targeting/unflinching mods etc). Get as high health and class stat as you can along with 100 super. Obviously use Frostpulse along with Iceflare Bolts for aspects and for fragments: Whisper of Refraction, Fissure, Hedrons & Conduction are what I used (but if your stats are good enough you could swap this last one). Alternatively, I played a few matches on Solar with a Slideshot/Adagio Crimil's Dagger, Eriana's Vow & Sanguine Alchemy + Empowering Rift and it went well too whenever I could keep people with special far away. Again as high health & class stats as possible and at least 100 super and use dawnblade or whatever you feel like. This is hardly some serious build and it will struggle vs good players, but I had fun with it. Across both builds I used a Briar's Contempt for heavy and I feel these 3 round burst linear fusions are slept on when they grant you 6 ammo in pvp and on occasion you can get lucky and even still kill like 2 people with one burst. My roll was Arrowhead Brake, Particle Repeater, Keep Away & High Impact Reserves with a Stability masterwork and targeting adjuster for mod. Doomed Petitioner is another really great one (I would say it's an even better one because of the origin trait plus having a 2nd trait which I feel helps out more) if people have it (use Moving Target & Keep Away plus same stuff as above ideally).

I may have something.... Had a much better experience yesterday in GG Supremacy... 4 wins in a row. I've only played 2 days and record is 5w 6l. Only 1 win day 1 and the rest were not close. I have never matched Titans. Day 1 was as many Warlocks described in our therapy sessions (the forum) described here just it was over in seconds with a big lead for hunters. The 1 win was Twilight Gap and me putting on a swashbuckler compact defender and going to town (as we had discussed prior)... still we almost lost... but thats 1 off and thats not what I am here to relay as a strategy... that comes below (wow foreshadowing in a forum post, lol) Day 2 I awaken with renewed energy... I am cleaning my vault and looking at all these Triple Laureates that I was looking forward to and decided I am gonna test these MFkrs out. So... The Strat (egy) D2armorpicker > Shrewd Survivor + Swordmaster + LunaFaction Boots + Freehand Grip on all weapons that will take it. Voidwalker, child, chaos, remnants, vortex on all & pocket for all those hunter faces. Understanding > I will now become hip-fire close dude.. in fact to better test the Triple Laureate I will use stasis targeting, dex, reload and flinch resist which is unusal for me to do because thats my close range weapon. In the energy slot I will just have ready HC, Pulse, Auto and scout depending on map... and not care because my strat will be to get close medium and use Triple Laureate until the mfkr works. ...and oh yeah... that was a blast. I never use hip-fire but this cannon was made for it... so satisfying to take down enemies with it. I am on PC so I have never used Last Word to any success (I also dont use exotic weapons in PVP) but I would describe it as a cross between last word and a shotgun... I was a demon up close... always hip fire never ADS. I want to point out that if you notice here from our previous discussion... I feel I haven't cheesed anything. I very much like this because its neutral weapon based. I noticed me having to make proper decisions with the weapon to make it work... still have to avoid fire. It may take time to figure out the hip-fire strategy... it is not long range... but it is also not really great for too close either. Many rolls of laureate work for this... in fact I'm still holding tons in the vault to test but I can lead in the direction that if you want kill clip > go with feeding fenzy... anything else probably slideshot is good.. because reload is the bottleneck. stats with GG bond is > 183, 117, 26, 50, 111, 21 ideally I like either 200 health or very high class with as high a health as possible... always Melee at 100... if I had extra I would simply give more to Super but that is the sacrifice. edit >
btw in the back of my mind I know that behind the scenes it is possible that the game is being belanced potentially due to complaints... that may have played a part... conceptually I know that everything above could end up being BS today/tomorrow if the powers that control the game (not me) change it. But it was a really really enjoyable / refreshing PVP change
edit 2 > I was not able to mimic the success of the Laureate with hip-fire Sarpedon... I do like Sarpedon for close range but I ADS on that spreadshot... but I'll continue to try edit3 > my testing went beyond into Control at least 17 games where it proved itself edit4 > also of course you are 1 of 6 (hopefully if match fills) so if you do find a winning group.. you may want to stay put as I imagine this grouping stays in place moreso than even control (which also does) because its class-based. My placement always varies a lot but I aim for at least positive KDA... good games high 1-3...5 ish acceptable... higher than that might be a blowout unfair competition. -

Here’s my 2d worth, fwiw… Main Strat (-edgy, I know! 😁): K.I.S.S. 👈 Just try my best, as always! Take it as it comes, don’t fret - it’s just a game! Up against crack players is to be expected! Up against SUS players - par for the course! Never quit - or you’re dropping team8s in it! If righteous anger arises - take a break! Win some, lose many - snafu! So far, have played on H / W / T - just doing bounties; results are more Ls than Ws…though have had one or two really amazing games where my fellow Ws and me just clicked and did unto Hs and T’s what they’ve been doing to everyone else! What a hoot that was! 🥳 That’s all…from a consistent 0.5% old tortoise! Ease Springs! 🖖👻 MTFBWY
