Up the Bright Dust payout
You need to offer more than 10 Bright Dust… either lower the cost of the armor set or make it a bit more rewarding… and for the love of the community that’s trying to make a comeback stop capping it at 1k for the weekly. Let me sell these raid banners for bright dust, prisms and such…

They can't squeeze your money if you buy things from eververse using bright dust, that's why they will reduce the payout in any way possible to make you spend money

Bungie has been actively trying to drain BD from Guardians for years with the holy grail being silver purchases for all so don't hold your breath on an uplift. Upping it would help newer players and even provide a goal that would possibly keep people playing. Bungie and good ideas rarely live in the same sentence these days unfortunately. Sitting on 170k BD myself and on a break from the game (Permanent unless it improves). I just check in each reset to see if EV has anything I want.

The only thing keeping this game on life support right now is the handful of people still paying for silver. I doubt they'll do anything to jeopardize that.
