Death's Majesty armor set

The latest D2 news involves new Eververse armor sets inspired by Magic the Gathering. Warlocks have a set inspired by black mana, aka black magic, which is channeled from swamps. Specifically it's based on a character from the game. Now maybe it's just me but the Death's Majesty set here looks nothing like that. "Inspired" here being loosely defined it seems. The set itself is a lush purple hue with simple but ornate gold. What about bright hues and gold say Swamp Death Magic? Granted I don't know anything about the character it's derived from but I would think we would get something in black with eerie glows, maybe throw in a few bones and skulls or something. Just my two silver coins on the matter.

    • Its based on liliana vess, shes been rocking purple since she was introduced in lorwyn back in 2007. Purple is one of the primary design colors for black cards in magic, along with achrid greens and Yellows, and sometimes pinks.

I want them to keep doing stuff with MTG honestly and for us to eventually get Destiny commander decks, I want it so bad😭. The hive god trio alone would be an outstanding deck on its own, throw in the guardians and all their light and it would go crazy. Just all the Destiny lore into magic commander decks, it would be outstanding I’d buy them all!

      • It's based on Liliana Vess who wears purple and is covered in purple runes etched across her body. She also tends to have a bunch of gold jewelry, in particular her headpiece. Channeling "black magic" in MTG is often displayed as purple energy rather than black, so I get what they're trying to do. It's probably still too much purple, though.
