I paid for this game and I expect it to have regular updates, bug fixes, events & communication.
I know "crazy"
But I think its crazier to abandon thousands who play your game.
Slam your server? No. I don't think so.
Why aren't you turning something on, something thats been vaulted/seasonal content in the meantime? Right Now.. why not right now?
You come to us with bad news and nothing. Nothing to replace that?

How dare you expect a "live service" game to get .... service. I bet you expect waiters to bring you the food you order at restaurants in a timely manner as well. You probably even want it to look and taste as advertised.

bungie basically took a baseball bat to knockout destiny 2 [the portal system that wasn't tested] robbed destiny of all it's resources [put the game on a 3-5 person dev team] and ran off to enjoy life with his new secret family and kid [all resources on marathon and delaying all bug fix updates on d2 for half a year] and they don't regret it. and thata geniunely pisses me off, and even tho I wish I would never say this but I feel like D2 needs to dle before June or barely have any players left, because that would actually get bungie to actually do something to save destiny 2 than do nothing.

That boat has sailed ! It’s like going to a restaurant and you have starters and you are loving it! Then the whole staff are swapped over with people who are there with totally different approach and your experience went down hill . It’s not really Bungie anymore and it’s a load of new people with specific goal which aren’t d2 . It’s been a slow death but we still have 3 months left to see if anything happens . D2 was never to stay good forever and stay 25/7 gaming . Destiny kept a hold of me for over a decade ! No other game interested me cause Destiny was a full time job . Now though I’ve lowered my expectations from d2 and play a few different games now. Once the Destiny spell is broken you never look back .

3 RepliesI think it’s pretty obvious nobody at Bungie is calling the shots anymore. I honestly can’t blame Sony, they paid a crap ton for Bungie who made them a bunch of promises and didn’t even come close to delivering. Also this is no longer the Bungie that made Destiny great, they all left or were laid off, everyone that’s still there is probably too afraid of losing their job to point out that their recent decisions have been dumb as hell.

But Bungie granted you only access to their property and can do with their SLA whatever they want. The SLA, everybody signed by using Destiny 2. The recent one was my last DLC, and I bought every one of them, except for one at its release. Edit: Text correction

Yeah, the things you "expect" aren't going to happen. Might want to modify your expectations or stop giving them money. Bungie doesn't respect your time or investment in their old product, they only want you to buy the new one. Time to say no more, unless things change.

4 RepliesThat's the sad thing you paid for it yes but it's not yours or anyone's it's Bungie's we just pay for the privilege to play in a controlled way.... That's why EULA's exist revoking any rights we have to the products we "purchased" and so they (bungie) owes us nothing and have every right to take the game and every penny we have spent on it away for no reason or any reason... Because if we did own the final product we could have justified input on it's functional and effective quality on top of directly being able to hold companies responsible for things like false advertising and exploitive practices... That what we will lose in an all digital age if not managed fairly... And it will get worse...

You probably think you own the items and such you find. You paid for a licence to play this game, you own nothing.

They cant even maintain a stable connection when they dont do Maintenance and they think they’ll be able to keep Marathon playable? Oh god that laughter actually hurts.

I mean I paid for all for the game when it was not free to play, all the dlcs that came with it and then the seasons only to watch as each one came and went And while agree that they really should take care of their work horse of a game by fixing it before even considering a new one But one of my main issues is this, why should I bother paying for content to help them “try” and fix it if it’s gone in a few months at this speed I’m considering just not paying for future season passes at all due to how little content it brings for the price I pay for it and lose when it’s gone
