How come there is no open forum with the heads of Bungie? Are they scared to answer the hard questions? Cheating would be my top question since they haven’t addressed it for 5 plus years.
Why is that?

2 RepliesThat's literally the point of this site. Any employee at Bungie could easily get on here and communicate with us anytime they want. They just choose not to.
-
lol are you serious ?! Look at this forum …80% hate and toxicity….who the funk would want deal with these people 😂
-
You're not even on PC and talking about cheaters. Just stop.
How come there is no open forum with the heads of Bungie?
The same reason there's no open forum with the heads of any other billion-dollar company.
-
Cause management don't give a rat's -blam!-, Dmg is too busy being a redditor and talking about anything other than destiny and the mods on here probably got laid off
-
They surely have all the feedback they need. I’m not sure what an “open forum” would achieve. Would they be honest to say “we can’t prevent cheaters” or “we don’t want to invest any more money into preventing cheaters” or “Crucible is very low priority for us”? Would they even say “we’re focussed on Marathon right now”?

2 RepliesAll it took was one person stalking the CM and they slink back so far up their you know what that we can't hear what they say. I understand what that person did was completely awful and wrong on so many levels. That being said, to not return to normal communication ever since just because of one person stalking someone is an admittance that they dont have courage. Courage to continue communicating with us and to let others know that they will not be intimidated by that kind of crap in the future. That's just me, though.

They'd get spammed with nerf whatever the meta is. Anti diversity folks would spew the most vile garbage.
-
They don’t want to deal with toxic comments within their forums.

Not sure if this exactly qualifies as a answer but it appears they are doing something under the covers. Posted in a previous thread: Interesting enough I got an email from Bungie asking if I want to come to the head quarters for a 2-hour panel on Destiny about 3 weeks ago. I filled out the survey they asked me to do and picked a time I could come in. Never heard back from them I think its because I'm 71 and they are looking for younger players to talk too. :( I live in the Seattle area so I assume they were selecting players that live in the area and willing to come in , they were offering a $200 amazon card.

They do access to the forums. I don't blame them for not talking to us. This place is toxic.

The reason not to have an open forum, for any organization is, what benefit is it to them? A video game company, a head coach of a team, a writer of a TV series, or any number of other people cannot listen to the fans about projects that take months to create. Bungie has a vision and you are either on board or not. Just like Apple or Adidas. The foundation of any company right now is data tracking. They know what you are saying. They know how many times you said it and how many different places it has been posted. Bungie is not a politician looking for votes. Clearly, you are frustrated about cheating, but do you really think it has never been addressed?

Someone seems bored.

6 RepliesMaybe it's because some people were psychotic and threatened not only the devs themselves but their families as well? Just a guess.
