First off this is a love letter to my experiences and my time with one of my most played/favourite games ever. It’s not for you, but if you enjoy the read then awesome. This game was my go to this last decade. I love the characters, the space magic, how powerful we’ve felt over the years, the stories, the gun play, the exotics, and in recent years the dungeons, the lore and making up my own stories and exotics. Before Destiny officially dies, I’m thinking of cycling through my favourite exotic weapons and builds and then I guess signing off..I don’t think I could truly sign off (delete my characters) but I’ll just not log in again. I love this universe so much and over the years I have thought about how I would improve it. So I started writing stories. Mostly exotic weapons that I dreamed of, with lore stories to back them up. [b]In my world of Destiny:[/b] -Marcus Ren created an underground Sparrow Racing League on Neomuna. -Drifter gets Ada-1 to make a Void/Solar Trace Rifle for the Guardian from the remains of Variks’ pet servitor from the ‘Warden of Nothing’ strike. -The Guardian finds a Metro Prime inspired Trace rifle in the depths of Titan on a deep dive mission. Sloan does not approve. -Nimbus creates an exotic Strand rocket launcher to get the guardians to like him… -Rasputin leaves Ana a golden age rocket launcher for the Guardian before he sacrifices himself. -Xur hand delivers a weapon for the Guardian and drops it off at Banshees workshop. The Guardian receives the package and to their surprise Banshee shows them that the Vanguard finally signed off and approved of a firing range underneath Banshees workshop. -Banshee builds a rocket launcher capable of latching onto barrier champs and detonating when they activate their shields. -During the Red War, a Titan gets captured with a Fallen Vandal. The scavenger rebuilds a Sweet Business onto an Artium War Rig which works in tandem with Cerberus+1. -Tess Everis gifts a Hunter an exotic helmet that pairs with Borealis which utilizes Stasis and Strand rounds. -During a Vanguard meeting, where they are discussing a exotic Fusion/Trace rifle that harnesses the power of transcendence, Marcus Ren interrupts to remind the Vanguard that the Guardian community needs to be inspired again, they need the return of the SRL. -The Vanguard present the Guardian with their very own quarters: a private hanger room for their ships and sparrows, an armoury room to keep all their weapons and armour. And storage for all the artifacts and treasures they acquired over their vast adventures. -My most triumphant story is, Deep in the depths of the Vault of Glass, the Guardian and their Ghost stumble upon a rogue Gatelord who plans on escaping from the vex singular mind. Along the way they come across a group of Hydras tasked with guarding this rogue Gatelord. The Guardian mistakenly releases the Gatelord and the Hydras present to them an exotic arc pulse rifle capable of destroying the Gatelord before it escapes. There’s a few more, these were so fun to imagine and create. I’m going to miss Destiny. I am glad to have finally gotten a dream weapon like the Praxic Blade. It’s been awhile since I’ve had this much fun racking up kills with a weapon. Thank you Destiny, thank you for the vast world you are and I’m so glad to have been playing this last decade.
