You play as a ship starting its own capitalist empire, and to expand your empire you need to visit planets and invest in infrastructure on those planets which generates money, which you can then use for better infrastructure as well as ship upgrades and other things etc. Each galaxy you visit will have its own inhabitants you must defend your mighty company against, so gameplay wise it’s essentially Asteroids (or insert your favourite space shmup here) but with an idle game tacked on (as a lot of time will be spent waiting for money to go up, and the amounts you need past the first few buildings and upgrades are pretty ‘astronomical’). I haven’t finished it yet but having played it for all of my day off the other day I’m looking back at it with some trepidation tbh since the gameplay loop has started to consist of going back through every single planet I’ve already been to just to make one or two additions in order to bump my numbers sufficiently. The combat is good but I haven’t found a way of making decent money from it yet so it’s become more of an annoyance than anything. Maybe I’m playing inefficiently, but it’s a bit of slog 7/8 hours in. It’s worth a look though if anyone’s interested. There’s a demo on Switch which I liked enough to buy the full thing, I assume there is on other platforms too I know it’s also been released on Steam.
