That's correct

1 ReplyEdited by Night_Fury147: 2/10/2026 3:14:34 PMAt this point, it’s pretty clear that Bungie doesn’t care about D2 or its players anymore and just -blam!-ing hates the game (prove me wrong Bungie).
-
3 RepliesI’m not buying marathon why support bungie when they don’t even talk and treat the destiny community like 2nd class citizens
-
4 RepliesYes after stating that Marathon isn't a game for Destiny players. Can't wait for it to tank heheheh.
-
I still can't believe they had the gall to put an option to buy Marathon in Destiny. The last time I remember a game dev using one of their games as a means to get you to buy another of their games was when Nintendo put an ad for Pikmin in Luigi's Mansion.
-
2 RepliesI was considering giving the game a chance but once I saw it was 40 bucks and uses battle eye i said nope. I’m not very hopeful the game will do well especially with competition from Arc Raiders.
-
1 ReplyI can guarantee you that those d2 streamers will instantly buy it when it comes out cause they think promoting that what is new for 3 weeks is a job 😂
-
3 RepliesIt's like you bought a guitar and you love it. One day the guitar company decides it wants to sell you a new guitar. Instead of just making a new product that's compelling to buy, they come smash the guitar you love and cover it with stickers of the new guitar they want you to buy.

Edited by maleficent054: 2/11/2026 5:28:29 AMYou don’t have to buy everything that’s advertised it’s called making decisions yourself no company is forcing you it’s like someone says on both the radio and television saying buy one get one free trying to entice listeners and viewers to go for the sale that everyone doesn’t fall for it whilst others do because they’re convinced in the sale so it’s already working for some but not those who didn’t even though how annoying it is so no you don’t have to buy marathon.
-
I wouldn’t play Marathon if it was free.
-
its quite simple for me, im not preordering it as i dont care for the game at all Im all good with playing other titles while D2 is flat
-
They could show me clear skies, Zavala playing with a beach ball with Ikora Ray in the Beach and I still won't buy into Marathon! You guys have to get swallowed into Sony's other teams and let them focus on D2 with their devs and maybe even D3 but I'm not saving your greedy mistakes that you constantly had us blindly pay Into. If we are sinking you guys can sink with your money too We've been mistreated enough

Edited by Wargodmini: 2/10/2026 9:34:42 AMI bought the year of prophecy expansion, 2 dungeon keys, and a cosmetic for the praxic blade when they were on sale (the former, not the latter), I think I supported Bungie enough, is the customer appreciated for their business? No, their attention and resources are diverted else where Is the expansion good, and of high quality? No, is the old content still there, so I can be caught up on the story, and be able to enjoy it? No I think I'll pass on other games fron Bungie After playing Destiny and Warframe, I am never doing live service online games again

2 Replies"There's an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, 'Fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again'"
-
Nobody is forcing you to buy it even they advertise it in the game it’s like not forcing a vegan to eat meat by going to Chick-fil-A to say they do other menu items if they don’t want to eat meat so nobody is forcing you it’s called voting with your money and wallet and don’t need to buy everything in the store
-
Almost as if this was ordained to be true when bungie started neglecting pvp and slowly more and more pve. Is destiny still a pve game now? All those years we could have held bungie accountable. Yet the pve casuals were so content on promoting neglect, now it bit them back. Shame really
-
As a consumer of their product you have every right to vote with your wallet and speak your mind!
-
oOSh8dyOoYours..... Not mine -The Last Word - old
Yes, yes they do -
They probably want you to, if you do is entirely up to you. Bungie isn't your dad.
-
2 RepliesYes, usually when a company makes a new game, they'd like people to buy it. I'm confused why you're having a hard time understanding that very basic thing. I'm still not buying it, but I am not surprised that they want it to sell. People are acting crazy on here lately. Calm down.
-
The funny part is they’re using the same engine with the same anti cheat tech lol. Cause that’s working well in D2 lol
-
Edited by Discovery: 2/9/2026 12:51:05 PMYes, of course. Marathon is their new, shining game. Destiny is their old franchise with less and less players that is difficult to maintain, it seems.
-
That appears to be correct. I’m sure that they’d also appreciate it if you could buy some silver as well, larger bundles preferred.
-
Edited by glaurung: 2/9/2026 2:11:57 PMCat ran across the keyboard. Also, yes.
-
someone else said this on another post and its true…..if Marathon is a success then Destiny 2 will get more love, if Marathon fails Destiny 2 will continue to die. I preordered the deluxe edition of marathon because it looks fun and the gunplay has the D2 movement and fluidity, so its worth a try it f’d up that they pretty much made destiny 2 so boring (which is also why I bought marathon) to force you to buy it. there is literally nothing else to play, every other game sucks lol
-
2 RepliesYes ! Marathon is their only focus right now . If marathon goes bust so does Bungie .
