(The Final Pattern)
Every year us fans follow a pattern, we get upset with the company. They work hard to deliver on promises. We get excited for about a month then find reasons to complain which is reasonable. But instead of constantly spamming chat like a comp game gone bad. Offer solutions game development takes time and is a trial and error process and at the end of the day is a business. For them to take resources to a new project under development to ensure it launches smoothly makes sense. And gives an opportunity for growth on both fronts. Sure there is the possibility of failure but at the end of the day I don't think true fans aren't going anywhere not with how much time and investment we put it in and for the love of the game itself.
We go through dry spells it happens, take a break. Its called burnout for a reason. At the end of the day it's all entertainment if your not entertained go elsewhere those who still enjoy the game for what it is even in its rough state will still be here. Especially for the newer players trying to get into the game don't ruin it for them.
I'm honestly hoping marathon succeeds so both Marathon and Destiny 2 grow in tandem as communities. I'm sure it's a longshot given the current state but I think with enough resources we can be in a better state of the game then back in forsaken.
(Tharsis a sandy step in the right direction:)
The Star wars crossover honestly was fun a bit niche but still fun and I hope more content that provides more replayability in terms of activities comes to fruition. As for the raiding we need a desperate overhaul many of our current raids are outdated in gear power and many players have no drive to replay them just because current gear outclasses their sets in every way I'm hoping the new system coming in the next expansion fixes this.
(Raids make them worth it:)
When it comes to raiding yes they are meant to be challenging but make raids and their mechanics more accessible I'm not saying make them super easy I'm saying make it so the average Joe is rewarded along with the high skill ceiling player in terms of co-operation on mechanics. Making them so punishable hurts both sides of the player base coin where it stresses experienced players who try to Sherpa and those just starting their new raid experience. When they did the rite of the nine dungeon event having a mode that teaches newer players mechanics was brilliant and made those modes fun and enjoyable to grind out for. Something similar but not as insanely unforgivable as these newer raids mechanics. The Portal is a double edged sword it simplifies activities but kills half of the space age wonder and exploration of visiting your favorite planetary location for questing and activities the renagades locations for tharsis were a step in the right direction with abilities and chests and locations to explore and lots of loot. At Destinys heart the game is a looter shooter take away the looting aspect and it hurts it's core.
(Pain VS Player engagement PvP:)
PVP is just a mess I've done the comp solo grind to ascendant 0 gone flawless numerous times and between ximmers, cheaters, recovs is so unforgiving unless your used to the scene its just not as good as it could be. Unfortunately the anti cheat still has holes and destiny will always have bugs or exploits that players will break and abuse. Is it still fun? Sometimes but only if the rewards are worth it. Iron Banner more fun game modes with exclusive rewards and more incentives like more unlockable skins for weapons
Both legendary and exotic tied to PVP not eververse. I'm looking at you Conditional Finality (I got the skin but having to buy it with silver after flawless I felt like I was robbed)
(Seeing Red in Invasions)
Invasions are honestly some of the most fun I've had in PVPVE and the way they're handled now are honestly super fun and interesting almost every engagement has been unique on some form and was welcoming on terms of frontier combat with light and dark outlaw guardians both newer to the game and long time vets. So good job on this one.
(The Conclusion)
We as a community have come together during the dark times and kept this beautiful dream alive a game that has lasted nearly a decade plus and still has so much more lore and things to offer in terms of player engagement we had fishing, fun rooms, and collectables, fun and exciting exotic quests. Destiny has done so much already and that feeling us long time players have like they owe us something is selfish. Some of us have played for 10years+
I think with how much time we've invested we've gotten a lot out of the game already. Are we finished? I'm not. Honestly I hope Destiny 2 never dies I hope they continue support and keep it going so others can see the legacy and replay the stories we were told, we all experienced.
It relies on us as a community to keep it alive even with all the charity work we've done to help others destiny isn't just a game it's a platform that has helped so many others. And that's a beautiful thing. I hope that when transparency is shown that they will keep the legacy alive and bring us back to the glory and wonder we once had as our guardian woke up from first time on old russia to the now lawless wasteland of tharsis.
All in all I honestly wish the best for this game and it's player base and I hope things look up. And for the Devs thank you for all you do and will continue to do I know things are tough but there's still some space magic left in here.
-SpartaneousX, Over and out see you all on the field.

I think a lot of the current issue isn't really Bungies intentions. I doubt they want to sabotage Destiny. That just doesn't make sense to me(tho it could also be true). Their intentions are probably good. They are nervous about Marathon, and know they can't afford for it to fail. I think what it boils down to is the fact that no matter their intentions, it looks like robbing Peter to pay Paul. There could be a lot of very valid reasons as to why Destiny is on the back burner, but unless Bungie shares that with us, people will do what people do, and try to make sense of it on their own. Some takes will be logical and others will be based on emotion. Both can be true or wrong. However. Leaving disgruntled customers in a room with eachother, while not providing any meaningful information for the issues they have usually does not result in them getting over it, or working it out. Usually, the consumer wedge just gets larger and larger. The fact we do know, generally speaking, is that the customers are disgruntled. And that Bungie is being silent.

I agree with a majority of what you've said here but to be perfectly frank, it hurt my eyes to read. Paragraphs would make it so much easier for others to follow.
