displayName invalid value bug (Bungie name change)

I'm trying to update my name in preparation of Marathon's release but I am running into an issue where I cannot change my Bungie name. I tried to change it on the bungie.net site but it refused to change anything after clicking Save Changes with no error reported. I installed and loaded Destiny 2 to trigger the initial name change and it changed it to Redacted5163#5163 when it was originally x412. I had played D2 very briefly back in 2018ish. I then tried bungie.net again, still nothing. I also tried changing it in the Destiny 2 Companion App and received the error: The field "displayName" has an invalid value in it. Please provide a valid value for the field and try again. The name I am trying to set it to is "NoPhayceX". There is no special characters, numbers, or anything. So if it's a filtering issue, I'm not sure why this would be filtered.

Hey there. If you tried to change it on the site, and it just didn't change, without actually giving any kind of error, that means it's hitting the filter somehow. I am not familiar with the mobile side but I do believe by 'invalid' it means something about it is hitting the filter. I don't see anything wrong with the name, except MAYBE it doesn't like 'the 'ceX' part. Unfortunately Bungie won't give any specific guidance on why a name may be against TOS, nor do they make ad-hoc exceptions for things that get unneccessarily targeted. You'd have to try something else and see if it saves.
