Revision Zero is weak/underwhelming and needs a buff
-
In a GM it’s great. Techsec set and you’re the king of breaking shields. But yeah all weapons kinda suck when you -blam!- out 10 abilities in 30 seconds. Nothing in this game needs a buff. We’re unstoppable.

Edited by FReyeD Inc: 2/7/2026 3:20:29 AMThe two burst is underwelming, but the four burst with 4th times a charm and vorpal is solid. The secondary shot from Revision is OP and with 4th times and four burst, it doesnt take long to fill the bar. Ive used this exotic for master raid runs and Grandmaster -50 runs. (mine is fully upgraded, a newer one that isnt wouldnt be as good for obvious reasons) Edit : Techsec Armor makes it even better

Truthfully, every Primary ammo weapon needs buffs in PvE. They're all anemic once you start doing harder content.

It’s meh in PvE, really good in PvP
-
Its one of my favorites

Yeah it’s exotic perk is a worse version of vex.

5 RepliesWhen there's always that one person in every comment saying to nerf abilities instead of buffing the primaries that need a full clip to kill 1 red bar.

One of my all time favorites, my reliable GM workhorse…and I agree, I’d love to see it receive some more updates and buffs.

2 RepliesAll primaries are weak/underwhelming and need buffs!

When it first hit the ground it was the only gun I needed I loved it to bits (mostly my enemies because of chromatic fire turning that gun into a precision rocket launcher) so I very much agree it needs to be more effective in the current sandbox....

it always felt underwhelming to me.

Hunter_UmbraShadow requires Light - old
As others have said, it’s really good in pvp, it just faces the same problem as every other primary in pve. Even if Praxic Blade gets nerfed, there are better exotic options in the kinetic slot such as Wishender (which also happens to be intrinsically anti-barrier). Revision Zero just might always be one of those exotics that is only good in one part of the game, unfortunately. -
4 Replieslol plenty of pulse options ….still massively used in PvP .

Edited by Griever: 2/4/2026 9:21:21 PMAre you sure it's the pulse/ sniper hybrid and not just primaries in general? I mean a bow like Hierarchy can't OHK a red bar vex to the body at -30 with around 30-40 weapon stat (not that we should have to invest in that stat at all to make our weapons function properly, and frankly if they're fine with the weapon stat buffing damage in either mode, it would just make more sense to remove the buff, change the stat to improve stability too, and add the damage in full to every weapon). Primaries in general need buffs. We lost- I think the artifact gave something like 10-12-15% damage last season but we're nerfed to 5% now. If the weapon stat is balanced like ability stats in that 30 is slower Regen and 70 is equal to old 100, we're doing even less than we were before in pve if we don't have it up high enough. So all in all, we're doing around 20% less damage than we're supposed to. It also doesn't help when activities scale enemies up the further you go like in Lawless activities.

Edited by Joulevette12: 2/4/2026 8:04:59 PMTrue and the only way I made it decent in PvE is using it with Tech set +Aion gauntlets and make it so you can manually switch between both modes anytime, I don't like the idea you have no choice but to shoot all sniper shots in order go back to pulse mode. Kinda want them to buff the meter for mida multi tool in PvE it takes way too long to get explosive rounds

Wait till they ahift the meta, thats the only way exotics get noticed sometimes
