Ok, so the old post is dead. Editing here.
I left before all these new features, and only dabbled for a few minutes whenever I did get on, and well, its a huge shock to come back to. Still trying to figure it out.
Found expert mode with no invader, and I am content with that. Fantastic.

I feel like Bungie did a great job of offering different options for how we want to play the activity - locations, difficulty, PvE/PvEvP/PvP and team/solo. All of those options split the pool of players and affects matchmaking, so maybe they had to draw the line where they did.

8 RepliesJust play the Expert Mode with no invader. I'm 550 Level but I have a better time in Expert; once in a while I'll do a higher difficulty.

I really enjoy the new expansion. I picked up the game after a good spell of avoiding it, and I'm putting in a lot of time, but why did you people have to ruin the experience by adding yet MORE PvP mixed in with the PvE? Why aren't we just allowed to enjoy the 'Contested Territory' activities, which are already a decent difficulty, without interference from other players? I have nothing but deep seeded hatred and contempt for that "feature" in the expansion. I'm just trying to have a good time here. My teammates are cool, but this ruins a good time.
3/5 areas are invader free. There’s no difference in difficulty and it rotates every day. Don’t pick the invader enabled version and then complain that it has an invader.

Don't go into the few that have an invader active if you don't like it and want to have a good time. It's really that simple. Wait for contested area to rotate and explore all you want.

7 Replies"Contested Territory" kind of gives it away, don't you think?
