For whatever reason Bungie thinks that Xur is the best place to get Legacy gear. I guess Ada-1 now as well as she sells the armor sets that Xur used to. There is an activity in the game and one that has been in for 4 years now, it drops legacy gear already, people are still playing it. I am of course talking about Dares of Eternity. I have made a post about it in the past, and decided to make it again. Dares of eternity is such a great way for us to earn past items, more at once, less rng and will just increase play time. Dares has such high potentials, but Bungie just don't see it because they are so used to just abandon content as soon as they release it. Dares is just the best place to house these items. It can hold more than Xur, it is up 24/7, it is on a weekly rotation and it would be easier to swap out its inventory. Old seasonal weapons and armor plus world drops. Man would i love to see Tangled shore weapons be brought back. I know we got some reskinned for Revenant, but i am talking about the OG. Their perks are good enough to be used today. I mean we can get the armor set from dares, so who not its weapons too ? Dares is a fun activity, and it just sucks to see its immense potential being ignored. Screw updating Xurs inventory every 4 year, and just go with the much better option.
