Hello! I have been a Destiny player since 2016. I only used one main account throughout my time as a player. This year though, I had issues with my old Microsoft email, causing me to deactivate and ultimately delete it. I play the game on Steam currently, but upon trying to sign into my new Xbox account, I was greeted with a message saying I’m unable to unlink the old, unobtainable account. It seems around March, an update launched causing unlinking to become almost impossible. I was unaware of this update, and during Feb-November I was unable to play due to a family emergency. Therefore, I had no idea this was even coming, otherwise I would’ve take the correct measures. I wanted to know if there was anyway to unlink the old account I no longer have access to, so I can play the game again on Xbox, am I simply out of luck? Or if there is a possibility for a bungie employee to manually unlink it for me, or any known way to unlink. Thanks in advance!
