How Do I Get Techsec Armour?
I looked it up and it’s says portal activities but all I see is ferropotent in my drops.

Apparently with the next update in March we’ll be able to get cyphers that can be used to get the older portal stuff. So nightfall cyphers are now pinnacle cyphers as an example.

Bungie should let past special armor drop in Expert and Master Nightfall AND have those two modes have matchmaking. It would certainly keep players kick in another half hour or more game time. I don't mind Portal 2.0 and the challenges but before EOF, Expert Nightfall was a fun activity.

2 RepliesYou don't. They planned for armor to be another fomo aspect of the game changing every six months like light levels and everything else.... Make you question continuing to give these developers your money? At all in the least? They backed off on the power level reset but didn't have time to back out of the armor and weapons aspects where everything just goes away every six months. They are looking to make a disposable game where whatever is dropping right now is all the matters. Let that sink in before their next "these are not the droids you are looking for" speech later this week.

Edited by KEITH_LEGEND-82: 1/5/2026 8:48:02 PMYou get lucky with hawthorne engrams... specifically the higher tier ones (tier 1 drops current loot) ....there should be a few types of engrams; crucible ops could drop last disciple/disaster corps, pinnicle ops could drop bushido while everything else could drop techsec or smoke jumper. Each engram could drop a respective weapon... so you need to get lucky!! Save up some hawthorne engrams and blast through a load; probably won't increase your chances, but I just prefer doing them all at once rather than one at a time.
