I don't mind the grind, hence why i stayed in the game. So 1-2 drops per activity was fine, heck a luxury for gm's.
Now you get around 5-10 and it is just ridiculous. Not to mention how it just a bunch of tier 5's as well.
Artifice and Adepts were desirable loot back in the days, because they gave you a good bonus.
Tier 5 whilst giving you an extra bonus, with how common they are, the bonus isn't really a bonus. It is more a standard than anything. Not to mention how there is no real point in doing Master version of Dungeons, Raids and even gm's anymore. These were the place to get the better loot. Sure it was just slightly better, but still.
Getting a god roll was something exciting, that thing that you were chasing, the reason to why you played the same activity over and over again, or went into the higher tiers.
Now all you have to do is to complete a 3-5 minute solo op and get what a Master used to give.
I honestly don't understand why they have 5 tiers. Each tier becomes more common as you level up and at the end it will all just be tier 5. Tier 4 and 5 should have been more rare and locked behind end game content. This would give the loot value and a reason for you to do the end game activities.
This whole tier system has completely ruined the reward system. I mean when i can turn in a cookie and get a tier 5 weapon, then you know that it is screwed up. Imagine getting an Adept weapons from just completing a patrol, how much wouldn't that how downgraded Adepts ?
With everyone running around with the same tiered items, how are you supposed to feel like you have accomplished anything.
Not to mention how raid perks now ends up on common weapons, so even less of a reason to do raids. Like wtf ? At this point you might as well stop making raids and dungeons. They really serve no purpose any more. When i can get the same tiered loot and with the same perks, Why should i put in the effort ?
I know a lot of people here will disagree, because most people that stayed is the ones who made all of these changes happen. Those who wants to be handed everything for free, those who will complain about having to do anything in the game. Sheeps of the content creators.

3 RepliesThe new dungeon toys are pretty good, but are beyond my desire to endure getting them. And I’m fine with that. The same goes for a lot of Raid / Dungeon toys…and my indifference is the same. The Neomuna Overtuna (N.O.) vibe is (mostly) the basis of that indifference. It started on Neomuna…was enhanced with Lightfail…and just got worse at every turn thereafter. The N.O. vibe = where they raised the floor to ridiculous heights of difficulty and tedium…for the many…when only the few were screaming for more / harder / faster / higher… Just look at the player base…the numbers tell all. Quests for specific toys are fine…I haven’t bothered with most of the recent ones…due mostly to the N.O. vibe…eg, that Heavy Glaive one. And I’m fine with that! The current flood of tiered toys obtained by doing relatively simple stuff is actually boring, and a bit of a nuisance - to me. There’s nothing wrong with the toys themselves, and many of them have pretty good rolls…it’s just way too much candy, too quickly and too often. Now, as another G in this thread mentioned, I’m just burning stuff without even checking it first. My vault fills up too quickly, so I spend way too much time sifting and sorting instead of playing the game…unless, that ‘time wastage’ is part of the new game design directives?! In D1, we raided nonstop. I have almost every ‘must have’ toy. The Sunset debacle killed the ‘space magic’ vibe for me…and that’s when I bounced over to WarFrame (MR24 😎)… Much later, nostalgia brought me back to Destiny’s shores, only this time, my engagement with the game would be very different…and so it is! I love the Destiny universe, the different and varied environments; the gunplay; the movement; playing simple ‘vanilla’ stuff with my (mostly) simple ‘vanilla’ builds…using a handful of tried-and-trusted favourite toys. I pootle about the place, completing unfinished Triumphs / Quests / Seals, and stuff…collecting ‘collectibles’…regional chests, etc. And I like Trials loot, too… Now, I do the campaign (normal mode) on one character only…and if my secret ninja is at home, we might make progress on another character doing the campaign on Legendary mode. Back in the day, I’d do the lot myself…but, that was then… So, it’s not that I can’t do the hard stuff, it’s that I chose / choose not to do it. The N.O. vibe is (mostly) the reason why. Recently, I responded to a BHQ survey they sent to me: my answers were based on the same as the reasons mentioned above. D2 is running on a wheezing old engine…the spaghetti code ball is snapping in places hard to find…the game’s architecture is crumbling…P2P is simply causing more issues than not… Meanwhile, Sony / BHQ are rearranging the deck chairs…on a visibly, floundering, sinking ship?! This new team in place is attempting to change things, at least, that’s my take…but maybe, it’s a pointless exercise?! Doubling-down on the N.O. vibe will appease the few…though not the many. The portaloo / exfil TLF and Dungeon / Raid N.O. vibe drivers - only serve the few…not the many. Those endgame activities are also frequented by Cheats to the max…the 70% Day One Raid Club…PvP - so many in all modes…Raids / Dungeons - OHKs on final bosses… Look at Maven’s recent ‘please don’t ban me’ video. Look at iFrost and other leading PvP players’ vids highlighting cheaters galore, and how blatant ‘cheating’ has become. And Sony / BHQ wonder why Destiny is floundering?! The player numbers are spiralling ever downward… And, Marathon ain’t the solution! D3 is the nettle to grasp…imho!👈 Anyhoo, that’s enough from this old tortoise, for now… I want Destiny to survive and thrive…but on its present course, it probably will just wither on the vine… That is all. TLDR: 🥳 Ease Springs! 🖖👻 MTFBWY
