Bungie's Design Choices Reinforces Quitting

As someone who bought Edge of Fate, I was not impressed with what changed and how little new stuff we got for the price of $40(I paid less around $33 and still don't think it was worth it.) From there, I just chose to quit playing for a while to see if things changed, but the major issues STILL haven't changed. Now, I see less and less reason to play. FOMO is even more powerful when it's not created by the player, but instead created by the developer. Gear that is only obtainable for a short while, be it for one DLC and not the next or even from a short limited time event, reinforces my want to not come back. I mean, why would I return if I've missed out on certain things that won't be back for a long while. We've seen that, at least with certain exotics, it can take months to over a YEAR for Bungie to reintroduce a method to obtain something. If I'm missing out on things AND core things that need to change to make it feel like it's worth my time aren't being changed, why would I return? The pricing still doesn't match what we get, they still haven't hired more QA staff to prevent unneeded bugs(of which there's more than there were prior to the layoffs), they seemingly still haven't fixed the mentality/disconnect/whatever causes Bungie to make blind decisions no one asked for only to correct it much later, and a lot more. Every choice Bungie has made can only really benefit themselves(pricing, mentality, amount of staff) or active players(not experiencing fomo.) I can see how this even prevents new players from joining, as this is further compounded when new players find out they face all of this plus the fact that older content is no longer relevant so it'll be harder to experience(lol Excision) AND older seasons/entire DLCs were removed so they'll never get to experience them(lol context that literally plays into the current DLCs lore and built up the Light vs Darkness saga.) What's most frustrating is that I am FAR from the first person to point this out, but all of those "we are listening" posts from community managers are either flat-out lies OR they don't push hard enough for any of this to change so that we actually are heard. It's a gradual spiral and no one wants to put in the effort to correct it simply because it's risky for them personally. Anyway, Hope everyone has a good Christmas/Holidays/New Year.
