TL;DR: Power system needs to be more thought out, primaries need buffing, and combat sparrows as a concept need more love.
Firstly, I have been, and will continue to actively avoid getting to 500 power, because the moment I cross that threshold, I will be forced to do ultimate-tier activities in order to continue getting tier 5 weapons. this will put me at a huge disadvantage. Getting stronger should not make you feel weaker.
Secondly, Primary weapons are in a sorry state right now. They feel like peashooters in grandmaster content. I'm not asking for them to be super powerful, but they need to pull more weight in these higher difficulties. I feel I should clarify, as you have made this mistake in the past, DO NOT NERF EVERYTHING ELSE, BUFF PRIMARIES. non-primary weapons feel like they are in a good place.
And lastly, my (less pressing than the first 2) gripe is the gryphon (combat sparrow) in comparison to the falcon.
The gryphon is fine, damage-wise. HOWEVER, you share it's hitbox, thus you take more damage while on it. the Falcon, doesn't have this issue. The gryphon is too slow to make dodging meaningful, while also forcing a cooldown on weapons after dodging. I'm not asking for the gryphon to be like the falcon, but it needs to either be more maneuverable, or not share a hitbox directly tied to your guardian's health.
Another thing that would make combat sparrows more viable as a concept, would be a new combat sparrow, with lighter weapons, (perhaps small heat weapons in line with the fast talker SMG in terms of fire rate/dmg) and better maneuverability, more in line with current conventional sparrows. again, it shouldn't outshine the gryphon, but be a light and nimble combat sparrow. This would allow the Gryphon to fit more neatly into a heavy playstyle, (of course it'd need to have the hitbox change I mentioned earlier) while allowing for a more nimble lightweight one to have a niche. as for name ideas, leaning into the idea of fantasy creatures (gryphon for example), it could be called the Pegasus.
If you've read this far, thank you.
