This is why nobody plays your stupid game
A million people can't be wrong. The portal sucks. You introduced it to sunset old activities and consolidate you server capacity because your player count has dropped so much that you're forced to do that. Coupled with the fact that you're so incompetent you couldn't sell hand warmers to an Eskimo. I just wanna get wasted and bulldoze ads in onslaught, but it hasn't been in rotation in the portal for almost two weeks. I hop on every day and immediately get bummed out when I see it doesn't have matchmaking. I don't wanna use fireteam finder because it takes forever to put a team together. I want the game to do it for me. Onslaught was a concept I enjoyed because one of my favorite game activities is wave survival. But you abandoned it, just like you do everything else I like. All for some stupid exotic missions. Nobody wants to play that crap. I'm okay with onslaught not being in rotation every day, but it's been nearly two weeks since it was last. TWO WEEKS!! And all I can play now is widow's court or midtown. What happened to the other maps? Onslaught needs its own tab in the portal and a different map in rotation every day. I wanna play the old maps. I wanna see you do more with onslaught because I enjoyed it. This is why you're getting beat by cookie clicker. This game is just depressing to be a part of anymore.

Definitely my last DeLuxe and will be taking a break after that for a while and focus on completing other games without being a job.

If a person wants to play onslaught, it should be there for them with matchmaking and loot worth chasing each and every time. I liked the way Destiny was before the portal, you had reasons to visit planets, and participate in just about anything you wanted with matchmaking. I often jump on now, having been a daily player for years, and find little to nothing worth doing. I really miss the strike specific loot. I really don't want to be told what to play or what I have to use to play it. This is an over reach on Bungies part.

You've only got to look at the multiple thousands that have quit to see that you're not alone. And posting like it's about you opens the doors for all the BDL to have a go at you. And looking at the negative replies you've had, I've noticed that they all had a go at you personally. Not ONE of them has offered a mature or supportive answer.

1 ReplyOk, like this is just incoherent, because none of the content that was “sunset” has been removed from the game. The game isn’t any smaller than it was, hell it’s arguably bigger, which is a pretty big issue, as 80% of the game is now worthless to play. It’s why people are calling it a [b][u]SOFT[/u][/b] sunset, because you can still access all the content you want to access, but the point of playing it is null.

Not a Fan of Onslaught, but I do agree with the general premise that bungie is not making good decisions. Bungie said as much and has walked back a bunch of ideas, like resetting power each season. The whole idea is based around the concept that ALL players chase LL so they can play the hardest activity in the game. So the portal is build on the concept LL=difficulty. Everyone should end up in ultimate mode. When players basicaaly rebelled and did not play enough to get LL to 300, basically stopping because of power rest to LL 200. Bungie gave away a 300LL box and said not everyone can do master level content. Bungie completely disregards the average and casual players who do not run master, grand master or ultimate difficulty content. Player who do not run the raid and dungeon on 3 characters a week,mean nothing to them. Bungie has lost sight of how to make a game fun and instead focus only on making the game more difficult. It is why I did not spend a dime on this expansion and will never spend a dime on any bungie release. I have zero interest in a PVP extraction shooter, which is exactly what invasion in renegades is, PVP extraction shooter. I can see what Bungie is doing, trying to get us to play it and think oh that is not so bad, so we will purchase Marathon. I Will never play marathon or Invasions, Bungie has zero clue how to make PVP balanced or fun.

Avoided it and never want to see it in rotation. In the 10 years of Destiny history, I have left and come back several times. Much amazing and better players than me have left and never came back. Each for their own reason. This will be my last season as I will most likely take a break for year and wait for things to improve. I am fed up of DCV logic and recycled content and the bad power logic. We are all just a number on a spreadsheet of some Sony/Bungie executive. Our reason for leaving doesn't matter as long as the number averages out.

Edited by FlareFL: 12/21/2025 10:51:57 AMSolo operations in Portal are more or less playable (except for Typhon Imperator), but I have no desire to play the exotic missions playlist (or the stupid cut-out dungeon levels; I don't understand why they exist) due to the poor artifact and limited and disappearing resurrections. I generally don't understand why Bungie constantly introduces timers and jump puzzles, but doesn't fix the clinging mechanic (it's a real problem, but they don't care) and the jumping fail from uneven surfaces (stomping into the air), which only hunters can ignore (they can jump from the air). What's especially infuriating is the fact that the game is simply poorly tested, if it's tested at all. For example, why does the elevator in the Heliostat mission defy the laws of physics and run away from under your feet when descending, like in those old, clunky 2D platformers? Is anyone even happy with the prospect of shooting electric nodes with a revolver? I couldn't get the final 4th shot this season due to character inertia. Last season, the rocket-powered pistol helped me, but now it's useless against the champions.

bungie is taking winter break, most post wont even be read when they are around. they have new things coming to destiny next year. if you dont expect much then its all good. otherwise not so much.

Takes forever using fire team finder to get a team together? What's your definition of forever? It rarely ever takes me longer than normal matchmaking would take.. Also, I like the exotic missions.

I finished the campaign and earlier went to try the faction activities.They’re all matchmade so I lost interest.

Edited by eliteg: 12/20/2025 11:59:54 PMI agree with you on Onslaught (I disagree about the Portal) - I do miss classic Onslaught and tuning and had a blast playing the 1 time I saw matchmade last Sunday for Widow's court (dropped a bunch of stuff and actually only went 30 rounds which I thought was odd.. used to 50 from the classic).... [b]...but my dude like its just a wall of text that you wrote... just break it up.. I mean try to read what you wrote its just a wall of text.[/b] I'll be honest I am gonna try Midtown solo - I feel like its worth a shot.. but I too am keeping my eye on the matchmake as that casual aspect is what I look for in this game.. On the portal that is rewarding.. its a bit of a mess but its showing things pretty clearly.. what you wanna chase.. customization... and the world map is still there
