Bungie's forgotten what makes Destiny, well... Destiny.

Don't mind me. Just rambling into the void. Bungie has forgotten what brought people along for the ride in the first place. The feeling of the game as a whole, back in Destiny 1 when you first played it, not the best time I'll be the first to admit that, and then they took that start and sent it skyward with the Taken King. Destiny 2 had a very similar start. Rough take off, and then off it went with Forsaken. Since then, it's had its ups and downs, sure. But it just seems like ever since the Final Shape, they just forgot what people liked about the game. People don't want to be in a hamster wheel, chasing newer gear (New Gear system, which they put on hold, and did not confirm to my knowledge is being scrapped.), people don't want this absurd salad of modifiers. All you've done there is absolutely annihilate your matchmaking for the most part. I don't know what it's gonna take, but please for the love of god, rediscover why people loved your game. Something the devs at Bungie really need to understand is, they're not competing with other games when they chase those other games' trends. If people want to play Diablo, they're not going to play Destiny 2. They're going to play Diablo. If people want to play WoW, they're not going to play Destiny 2. They're going to play WoW. You're going to steal like two people from each of the games you try to emulate, and then they're going to dip after a month at most. I used to love Destiny. I miss playing it, but I can't bring myself to play it again. Renegades should have been a win, but with mess you made with EoF and the molasses-like pace of undoing that damage, it wasn't a win. Not at all. Please Bungie, just recapture the feeling of Destiny. Stop trying to capture the feeling of other games. You're at your lowest low. You can't afford to keep trying to poach other games players.

It wasn't just Bungie trying to capture rhe "feel" of Diablo and other exploitative live service games. They were basically trying to copy their "engagement farming" methods without realising that the majority of people play these games INSPITE of these terrible grinding mechanics, not because of them. Utterly irrational decision making, driven by spread sheets rather than anyone with actual intelligence and critical thinking. Or a spine. Seriously, EoF launched with so many terrible ideas, player numbers collapsed in a month , and then they insisted on holding onto them for almost half a year my god. And then publish so crap about how change came with risk etc etc. DO YOU PEOPLE THINK WE ARE STUPID ? I mean, the answer was obviously yes.
