Does this require a specific difficulty to earn the triumph or does the mission just need to be completed in 15 minutes or less?

Just 15 mins or less. Also you can cheese it. If you fail and go to orbit just load in from your latest checkpoint, clear THAT in 15 and it counts Any difficulty
