Hunters,
It is understood that Hunters have not really had the limelight in terms of high end content performance and sustainability when compared to the Warlocks and Titans. For reference, recent Hunter utility came in the form two specific events:
Contest Salvation's Edge (Final Encounter)
Contest The Desert Perpetual (Orb generation using Golden Gun for Titans)
In previous Contest environments, Warlocks and Titans were greatly desired for their abilities to outperform hunters. So, to the rest of you, In what ways, changes, buffs, or tuning hunters stand reliably in future Contest modes with Titans and Warlocks?
For abilities, which of the following would you like to see modified:
- Super Damage
- Deeper Super Subclass verb effects
- Aspect Buffs
- Aspect Effect Changes
- Exotic Armor Exotic Perk Tuning
- Exotic Armor Exotic Perk Changes
- Subclass Fragment/Facet Tuning
- Subclass Fragment/Facet Changes
- Class Specific Fragment/Facet Introduction
- Standardized Subclass Fragment/Facet Effects
These are a couple of thoughts that just came to mind.
To expand on the final "abilities" section option "Standardized Subclass Fragment/Facet Effects"
This would mean that the Fragments/Facet on each subclass would get at a minimum a Fragment/Facet for:
- Weapon Final Blow
- Weapon Final Blows in rapid succession
- Upon Weapon Reload (This could or could not activate on special reload, testing would be required to make sure this doesn't become a heavy outlier in data.)
- Grenade Final Blow
- Grenade Final Blows in rapid succession
- Upon Grenade Ability Energy Acquisition (This can be tuned with an internal cooldown and a Threshold of how much energy this would require to activate.)
- Melee Final Blow
- Melee Final Blows in rapid succession
- Upon Melee Ability Energy Acquisition (This can be tuned with an internal cooldown and a Threshold of how much energy this would require to activate.)
- Super Final Blow
- Super Final Blows in rapid succession
- Upon Super Ability Energy Acquisition (This can be tuned with an internal cooldown and a Threshold of how much energy this would require to activate.)
- Elemental Final Blow matching your super
- Elemental Final Blows matching your super in rapid succession
- Finisher Final Blow (This one came about because there is no Finisher-focused aspect on the pure Stasis or Solar subclass(es).)
- Upon Acquisition of Light/Darkness Buff/De-buff
These are just some of the ideas that are floating around. Hunters are not at the top when it comes to the new sandbox that have found ourselves in and have not been for a while unless you account for the Crucible in some cases. What is being conveyed here is a leveling of the playing field or a modification of the available tools. Hunters are expected to be the weaponeers of the three classes, very few weapons are seen to be useful or reliable in high-end environments. This limits the "Gun-toting" Hunters with a handful of Exotic Armor that is focused on weapon performance or performance enhancement.

Hunters need better access to things like devour, restoration and woven mail more easily on subclasses such as prismatic where unless we have combination blow we are useless
