Tharsis Outpost- Three weeks after Nightfalls destruction
The doors to Tharsis Cantina slide open. A strange man slowly walks down the steps, his eyes covered by his wide brimmed hat, the spurs of his boots, ringing with every step. The music stops, as the patrons go quiet. A Ghost flutters behind him.
The stranger sits at the bar, scanning the room. Eliksni duck their heads. Vex shift around, calculating the outcomes of the situation. Guardians pretend they don’t see the stranger.
Drifter walks out of a small room, talking to Blue. He spots the stranger at the bar.
“Ohhhh shi-“ Drifter says as he slowly backs into the room he came from.
“Drifter.” says the stranger. “A word.”
Drifter cautiously walks towards the stranger, his hand on his hand cannon, as Blue floats nervously beside him.
“Been a while...” the stranger says, putting a cigarette in his mouth and lighting it with a spark of solar energy from his finger tips.
“The Devil finally come to take my soul, that it?”
The stranger lifts his head, showing fire behind his eyes.
“You got dredgens popping up across the system. Fix it. This is your last your last chance to get on my good side before I draw on you. And you know you can’t outdraw me.”
The stranger gets up and walks towards the stairs to leave.
“That a threat?”
“No” the stranger says, without turning. “It’s a promise.”
The stranger leaves, and the music starts to play again, as the patrons go back to talking amongst themselves.
“Well Blue. What do you think? Think he meant business? Or just his usual threats?.”
“Business. Shin Malphur ALWAYS, means business.”
