My Bungie Name Changed to "Redacted"
Hi there, I was just in the Marathon closed playtest over the previous weekend, and I noticed that my Bungie name was changed to "Redacted3670" when I got in. I'm not sure why it changed in the first place, since it didn't happen to other players in the playtest, but for some reason the change seems to have carried over to Destiny as well. I don't have a name change token to use, so I need some help getting my name back please.

If your name was changed for you, this means it was in violation of the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049202731-Bungie-net-Code-of-Conduct-and-Expanded-Definitions]Code of Conduct[/url]. Bungie does not provide details as to why specific names are actioned. If you have name changes remaining, you can use them to change your name, provided the new name passes inspection from the name filter and you are not attempting to go back to a previously actioned name. Otherwise, you'll unfortunately be stuck with the name you currently have; Bungie does not process custom name changes on players' behalf. If you'd like to appeal your name change, please visit our [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=48629]Appeal Ban or Restriction Contact Form[/url] and make sure to select the reason for the appeal is because your Bungie Name was changed. 9 RepliesHello there[url=https://tuxydoh.com/images/hi.gif],[/url] A name reset to default like that means it was detected or reported, reviewed by Bungie and reset to"[b]Redacted####[/b]", that indicates that some part of the name broke the [url=https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Legal/CodeOfConduct]Code of Conduct[/url] or the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/7648312251284-Bungie-Name-Guide]Bungie Name Policy[/url], was filtered, and [b]cannot/should not be used again.[/b] When that happens, you get the new name cross play message in-game as notice of the name change. If you'd like to appeal your name change please view the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=48629]Appeal Ban or Restriction Contact Form[/url] and make sure to select that your Bungie Name was changed.
