The traveler is of light, but its light has been taken over by wickedness or influence or some other being, a lighthouse leading to demise. The last remnant of pure light in this universe hides with the true darkness, and these two beings lie in eternal sleep under the protection of a parasite: a gravemind. How do I know it’s eternal sleep? Because what other explanation do we have but that some godlike power contains it; the traveler can’t contain it with its measly blighted light. SIVA is the only answer to what this parasite is. It was replicated from an older version, by humanity, thought to be perfected, when it was really a direct downgrade, foolish Bray… no idea with what you were meddling with. This gravemind made this old SIVA to make himself stronger, presumably, and the being he was in symbiosis with, which was most likely the being of true darkness. Why doesn't it wake the darkness up, and why does the last being of light reside with them, you ask? Hypothetically, the Gravemind does not wake the darkness up because it either can’t or it was never supposed to; maybe the reason the darkness was put to eternal rest is that it was simply too tired to go on and was given a mercy of rest by its parasite. The light, though? Maybe it is the same for the light-being, or perhaps the Parasite has a connection to the light and does not want it killed, captured, or injured, so it took the light into eternal rest with the darkness, or maybe it has something to do with light and darkness living in harmony, yin and yang, perhaps they are a part of each other, or maybe the light is required for life to go on? It does not matter in the long run. Once the pawns of the traveler find a crack in the time loop zones, they’ll escape, find the door, free the darkness, and it will cleanse the Sol System of life and begin again.
