Prior to E.O.F I was gold 3 in comp, ive never been the best at PvP, in fact ive probably spent the most of my time in Silver 2. That being said I still enjoy PvP and have a lot of fun, there was even a time when I was obsessed with Trials.
I haven't had much time to play these last couple months, so today is really the first Comp matches Ive done since Edge of Fate dropped. I got ranked in Bronze 2, which I have never been in Bronze before but I thought oh well, im sure I work my way up fast. Boy was I wrong.....I am getting STOMPED in Bronze 2 lobbies. Did I really get that rusty? or have their been some big changes to Crucible/Comp that im not aware of?
Some insight would be much appreciated, thank you.
SIde note I play on PC if that makes any difference?
TL;DR : I was Gold 3 in comp before E.O.F ... Now I get stomped in Bronze 2 lobbies ... why?

The pc player pool has dropped significantly for everything. Your either left with the cheaters, the tryhards, or the very few normal players. If you want it to be like before you'll have to play on console instead, where a majority of the playerbase is.

Skill creep. Combination of neglect and over enforced matchmaking has pushed the crucible to a smaller more skilled player dense population.

2 RepliesI only play competitive for the bonus drops so I am down in copper, I played a game yesterday and 1 player on the other team just annialated us. I looked at their profile and the account was only 4 weeks old with over 3.5k crucible kills and they had the rose hand cannon also (didn't know that was still dropping) - I suspect they may have been a banned player returning under a new account, possibly using a device?
