An exotic ornament being an earnable reward is huge, they should always do that. The whole high score event was a super fun idea but everyone crying that the helmet should be a participation reward and Bungie catering just took away the whole purpose of the event. It was super fun having to keep improving my score but ever since they change, there’s just no reason to do better since my score hasn’t changed since.

Good concept, I hope the lessons learned from this will be reflected in the next iteration of the event. Scoring bugs aside, they need to make sure it's accessible to more players than was the case as the start of this event, and relying on the rare HVT spawns in Solo Ops is very unenjoyable. That said, I wish this event was the exclusive way of getting holofoils for the featured weapons, rather than them each having their own week that offers a [i]different[/i] holofoil. What made the original Onslaught ones special was that they were new and rare, now it seems that every event is going to have a special version. That's alright if you're chasing it a few times a year at most, not every 3 weeks, especially when some are only available before most players are a high enough level to get better reward tiers.

I actually enjoyed the event too. Trying to find the sweet spot with loadouts for speed clearing, survivability, and burst damage was a nice change of pace.

I stopped playing for a few months then came back yesterday. I can’t start the armament protocol. It is not available for any of my characters. I see there is yet another bug but no fix.
