Some weapons archetypes just don't work PvE. Finding one that does work it too much work. The worst thing you can do is force someone into a meta they dislike. I hate scouts, sidearms, shotguns, snipers, pulse rifles not Graviton in PvE. Stop dictating how to have fun.

The whole purpose of champions is that they are restrictive, otherwise they are no different than any other yellow bar.

For legendary weapons👇🏼 Light frame, fast shooting, fast charging weapons (140 sniper rifles for example) - against overload champions. Adaptive frame, precision with average fire rate (450 pulse rifles for example) - against barrier champions. Heavy frame, slow shooting, long charge rate (360 auto rifles for example) - against unstoppable champions. For exotics... Exotics are exotics and must have their own individual way to work against champions. Or champions must go. They only blocking players from playing the way they want.

You have exotic choices (weapons and armor) and subclass verbs to use against Champions if you don't like the artifact perks.

I like what Destiny Rising does with champions, with the whole little mini game for each of them.

More sensible solution : Change champion mods and other ways to deal with champions to be optional power boosts instead of must use. You don't get restricted on using whatever you want but switching to that loadout improves your performance

2 RepliesI would like to see champions phased out and replaced with more challenging banes and mechanic enemies similar to the drone shields. But considering the reaction all those got from players I doubt it will happen.

We really arent that restricted. I use special ammo pulse rifles for barrier. Auto rifle or smg for overload & scorch stuns unstoppable champs. Theres also weapons with intrinsic champ mods. You hate half the weapon types lol
