Maybe it’s the Christmas spirit talking, maybe it’s Star Wars, the considerably improved experience since EoF released, or simply the marketing, but I’m hyped.
I know for a fact some things are gonna suck at the release, and god help us we won’t have to turn into a ball this time, but I’m looking forward to the new expansion.
It’s not to say I’m enthusiastic about everything they announced either, I’m still sceptical about the PvEvP extraction, but we’ve been so content starved that having a new campaign feels like, well, Christmas.

1 ReplyHype is the mind killer, but I'm happy to be hopeful, and Bungie has said and done a lot to give me reason for hope. The new weapons sound sick (like the actual sounds, the sound team cooked on those), the Exotic changes are promising, and the fact that Bungie has recognized their missteps from EoF give me some hope that they won't repeat those particular mistakes. It seems like Destiny expansions have a cadence, almost like the "Even numbered Star Trek movies are good" trope. Forsaken was beloved. Beyond light was not. Witch Queen was beloved. Lightfall was not. Into the Light was beloved. Edge of Fate was not. Renegades....? If the pattern holds, Renegades might really be a banger. Like I said, I'm not hyped, but I'm hopeful... Okay, maybe I'm a little hyped.
