Didn’t the changes allow more skilled people at a lower light level stand a chance? Having a more skilled player pool to compete against makes it more meaningful. Before the changes it was “I played more this season so I should get all the stuff.” That’s sounds like a more literal definition of participation trophy. I was unhappy about the changes because it meant I had to set new scores but whatever. The only change that trivialized things was the removal of the penalty for boons. That change heavily favoured a few no-skill broken builds. It was better when people had to decide on a trade-off with the boons. Edit: I now see reports that lower level players are getting higher scores for doing the same things with higher level players. If this is true, I stand corrected. They did trivialize it 😂. Oh well. The helmet only has fire for 3 months and I was never going to use the emblem.
