Way to turn this event into a participation trophy event. There was nothing wrong with how the event started. You bent the knee to all the whining complaining people who don’t deserve to be 1%ers. Now the 1% emblem is meaningless.

1 ReplyLol deserve to be 1%ers - love this forum. Think theses only 1% of the players left so enjoy

7 RepliesTo be quite fair, unless cheaters are completely removed from the game any “top % score” or competitive reward is absolutely meaningless. Anyway, I doubt the Call To Arms event will bring too many players back after they already peaced out after the first few days.

Edited by PipeWrench: 11/16/2025 10:18:56 PMDidn’t the changes allow more skilled people at a lower light level stand a chance? Having a more skilled player pool to compete against makes it more meaningful. Before the changes it was “I played more this season so I should get all the stuff.” That’s sounds like a more literal definition of participation trophy. I was unhappy about the changes because it meant I had to set new scores but whatever. The only change that trivialized things was the removal of the penalty for boons. That change heavily favoured a few no-skill broken builds. It was better when people had to decide on a trade-off with the boons. Edit: I now see reports that lower level players are getting higher scores for doing the same things with higher level players. If this is true, I stand corrected. They did trivialize it 😂. Oh well. The helmet only has fire for 3 months and I was never going to use the emblem.

There was nothing wrong with how the event started.
You think locking out everyone who hadn't hit 550 power is a good thing for a two week event?

What changed?

I would agree, IF Bungie had clearly stated so in advance. But since it wasn’t clear at all I understand why this is not going down well.
