Outside observation feedback

I made a post months ago that I deleted my characters and vault because I never wanted to come back because of how badly this franchise has gotten. And after playing games outside my comfort zone I believe I have several ways you can fix the conundrum you are in, devs Solution I Make a Destiny Remake; Brand new engine, same old guns and gear, raids, quests, campaign (sadly) and coated in quality of life additions, upscaling technology (pc software additions) and even expanding the world maps. Solution II Remove power leveling with a level based system that only requires gaining exp to increase and level up to get new gear, loot opportunities and rarity chances. Cap it at 100 and you should be fine AS LONG as you don’t make it aggravatingly grindy. Solution III Do what Elden Ring did and make an open world area that has roaming bosses, boss exclusive loot, hidden secrets, dungeons (lost sectors for D2) and maybe a new way to traverse the map. Solution IV Hope, just hope to whatever you believe in that Sony doesn’t gut the studio.

I like Solution III, but about that... Hidden secrets. They tried that. Worked fine in The Dreaming City for the weapons and armor there since daily sources for that gear was limited. In Savathun's Throne World, they tried it there in a similar way, but there were 2 factors that made it pretty pointless for people looking for content and not just for triumphs. One, the reward for pursuing that gear was the exact same gear you could get simply by defeating High-Value Targets that roam around and they spawn frequently, so by the time you found a secret, you could've just got it to drop from HVTs instead. And two, the weapons in question tied to that loot pool are craftable, making it where once you unlocked the ability to craft all of them, the secrets meant nothing in terms of rewards anymore. I think the current seasonal location suffers for mostly the same reasons, but with the Tier system hindering those secrets' rewards more since they are capped at Tier 2. Lost sectors are probably here to stay. They're pretty baked into the system by now, even if they're mediocre. Exploring them in Patrol still feels underwhelming. I never expect to get much out of them anymore, even from the versions that have Champions. And I just don't see Bungie taking the time out of their hands to put even a quarter of a Dungeon's worth of content in as an alternative to Lost Sectors, though I think that's what they originally had in mind when they came up with Shattered Throne since you first had to access it from Patrol in The Dreaming City. Later Dungeons never followed that logic. Technically The Dreaming City had roaming bosses as well if you count the summonable Ogre boss in Patrol. Dang, The Dreaming City really had it all right, but it took so many studios to make the Forsaken DLC work, apparently. I really do miss those days. Honestly, I think Solution I might be technically the best option so they can get out of this spaghetti code and have something decent to work with. It would make the development process much more smooth and we'd probably have more content to explore more often.
