I feel your pain. Being locked at ultimate makes the game not worth playing. I hate the limited revives and the stupid timers and if you run out of time you lose your revives. For some people playing at a negative delta is hard or just not fun and for those people they game has lost interest. I can run lower level stuff but then my rewards aren't good. Destiny had it right before eof then they decided to tailor the game for the elites and those that brag how easy everything is. They could make it work for everyone by allowing us to choos all modifiers including revives and timers but they stick with the elites. For those who want to troll and say get gud i say get a life this is a video game that's ment to entertain people of all skills. Your so special because your good with a mouse and or controller but no one cares how good you are but yourself. I hope bungie realizes this is not the best way forward. I myself dont want to play content that's ultimate difficulty because it not fun its just punishment for putting in your time in a game you enjoy. In what world do you punish the people that enjoy your game when its clear not many people enjoy it anymore.

Honestly, they need to change or just remove the scoring system, among many other things. Even outside of this event, we shouldn't be forced to play literally every activity at ultimate difficulty, especially when we're capped anyways. Getting to level cap shouldn't be a punishment. If people just want to slay out some master/grandmaster onslaught or a strike, let them do it and get the same rewards they'd be getting anyways, if you're going to tie loot to power level then fully commit. Before the travesty that was EoF, we were all on the same playing field and got the same rewards for the same content anyways. Let the people at 550 get all tier 5's while the people below get whatever they would get anyways. Who's it hurting!? Once a player is above 500, let them play master and up and still get the same rewards, or maybe just less of them. Once you're at 550 you've pretty much already gotten almost everything you wanted anyways. They also really need to rework the quick play playlist rewards. They pretty much always have a featured weapon, yet once you hit a certain level it becomes impossible to get that reward. What other looter shooter, MMO, or "rpg" punishes you like that for being at a high level? Quick play should be a guaranteed roll of that featured weapon regardless of power level, and it should be at the tier your power level reflects. Period. Ever since they removed Engram focusing (D*CK move) and weekly grandmasters, the weapon grind has never felt worse. Sure, they "shower" you with tier 5 loot at 550, or so I hear, but it's all random with usually terrible filler perks, and still about 80% armor!! At least with Engram focusing and guaranteed rolls we had a chance to farm for what we wanted. AT least bring back attunement for solo/Fireteam, pinnacle and crucible ops! Preferably for raids/dungeons too since they're so anti-crafting. AT least do SOMETHING about this atrocious loot grind. Now it's all random with zero bad luck protection, and this game has never had worse bad luck since random rolls were introduced. What's even the point of quick play having a featured weapon if it's only for tier 2 loot that'll be thrown away anyways? Ever since Tyson Green took over (revenant), this game has gone to absolute sh!t and the player count has steadily plummeted to the lowest in history, he needs to be sunset. He might not be 100% to blame for all the atrocious changes since revenant, but it's a little too convenient that once he took over development (revenant was the first content he was responsible for), all these negative changes like crafting and Engram focusing (seasonal at first, then everything), just to name a few, were introduced, not to mention tonics. This game will be dead by the end of 2026 if huge changes aren't made, and not just to exotic ornaments lol.

I mean, you aren't having fun, why do you actually play games and what is fun for you? I love when people say they play games to have fun, chess and checkers have been a staple of gaming for awhile...then people learned "moves" and people stopped playing with them because where is the fun in just knowing all the moves? What I'm getting at, games are going to bring gimmicks to draw you in, grab some attention and pray that is enough to get you to buy into them more. It's hard to turn from the direction of dumb down looter shooter to move into a roleplaying looter shooter with customization options. I want you to have fun. A Marine buddy hops on his kids roblox account just to play a game to sift through sand. That's enjoyable to him, honestly I'm sure it just keeps his brain from thinking about things, but he has got that. Again hope you find your jam.
