Im generally disappointed in Bungie with this event.
It's like playing against ulitmate sweaties without knowing you are competing against sweatbags.
I thought arms week was about playing together. But i guess Bungo decided to make this a event a gateway to make the gap between people even bigger.... well done Bungo.... well done.... no wonder people are leaving this game.
Edit: for those who call me out for being 550.... you pretty much acknowledge the fact that there is a gap in this community.... nicely done

2 RepliesWORST EVENT IN BUNGO HISTORY PROVING THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR ACTUAL PLAYER BASE!!! Yes intentionally held the caps button down to help vent the rage II have for this event!!! Oh and I am over 450 but still can't compete against the 550 scorers and the chance of getting to 550 before the end of the event ZERO? Good news for me, I found a good book I prefer to playing, hence why there's ZERO chance of me getting to 550, or heck even 500 before the end of the event.

2 RepliesEdited by BoomboxCollosuss: 11/14/2025 1:12:27 AMTo call this an "event" is like calling stale crackers a Happy Meal.

1 ReplyI don’t understand why you guys continue to play this. There are so many other good games out there right now.
-
1 Reply100% true, played a pvp match got 29 kills a 10 kill steak, finished top and got 5 points lol, in the top 30%, cheaters and YouTubers will push everyone out of top 10% by the end of the event , so even if you have 100 points now in 2 weeks you won't have. I deleted 2 550 characters yesterday, so only a warlock, if friend tells me he's finished with d2 in the next couple of days, warlock will get deleted.

2 RepliesCall To Arms Sucks: If you are not 450+ or are unable to play ultimate mode you will never achieve the high scores needed, especially at the (Solo) Salt Mines. AGAIN Bungie is catering to the streamers and players who play the game almost full-time. New players, part-time players and those below the 450 don’t stand a chance!!!

I can’t even compete because my fire team members get 2.9mil and I get 2.4mil. Makes no sense and is frustrating as hell and has made my leveling grind take 2x as long as I always needed max modifiers on to get higher level gear. I’m 550 now and it’s still the same issue.

1 ReplyMakes two of us I feel like those of us that arent 550 are the ones getting the shaft here because we cant set the modifiers to the highest difficultly thus not get the score we need to get the points we need to obtain the rewards. I just tried Salt Mines 4 different times and just get my you know what kicked in. I'm only 513ish and I even changed builds to see if i could go in and get a better score. Everyone just wants the helmet but I'd be willing to bet the percentage of those getting it wont be that great. So thanks Bungie for kicking the casual player to the curb. We just want to play the game and get rewards like everyone else with the amount time we can put in when we have normal lives unlike those that can play 24/7. I totally agree that the game is in its worst state its been in the 10+ years. I really hope Bungie realizes that you just singled out everyone that can't play the game all the time.

I'm still at 300 and have no interest in playing. Solstice was the last time the game was fun.

6 RepliesOP: chin up, Guardian! The vibe of this event is another misstep by BHQ…which, they are now clearly aware of, and are taking steps to alter the flow… You’re at 550+ 👍 That just means you benefit from better loot drops, that’s all. That was a mighty grind…we all know it…well done you! 😎 I’m at 510+/- and I was not grinding numbers, just playing the vanilla stuff and pootling about as I normally do. Most of those gains came from the recent events, and a lot from loot drops in PvP. I ran the strike event a few times and had some good teammates; also, I’m not a build crafter though I did lean into the Warlock ‘getaway’ gloves multi build…and that worked a treat even though I’m not an optimise player…more on the basic vanilla stuff. Then, I tried a salt mine run - reset to Master level, because I only wanted to log a score, and I detest the Neomuna Overtuna stuff that my 510 automatically loads me into… Got that done albeit at my usual tortoise pace! ✅ Then, I tried a run at the Coil event, which I never liked anyway…so I reset it to the lowest levels possible - just to log a score, to complete the Seal triumph. Long story, short - I did 3x complete runs…fought all the overtuned enemies - even at this base level setting, and barely made to the end…that final room with the big chickens is a pain. Then it restarted the cycle again…and I bailed. No score was logged. That was very frustrating indeed…and all I could think of was how on earth would a New Light or returning lapsed player cope trying to run that event - at a much lower LL, too?! At least I kinda knew my way around the runs…but I found it a bit too Neomuna Overtuna for me. And so, I won’t be doing that again anytime soon. 😤 So, to the Crucible event I went…played a bunch…got loads of loot…saw more than a few SUS players…then it was time to change character… I’d watched a Maven vid about the invis Hunter PvP build she recently made…and though I’m not a build crafter, nor a natural Hunter, I wanted to try it out. And so I did…with some slight modifications to better suit my weapon preferences…and it was a hoot! I was having fun in PvP despite all of the usual SUS shenanigans that we all know and see! And here we are… BHQ know there are significant bug issues re scores not registering - particularly in the PvP event…don’t I know it! 🤔 They are making a course correction…and have reset a few things already…it will take some time for those corrections to register… Suggestion: don’t delete your characters in a fit of justifiable pique…and don’t quit Destiny in a huff. We all know the temptation to do it sometimes grips us hard… I find a better solution is to go take a break, and maybe try another game that might have caught your attention…WarFrame / Arc Raiders / Stray / etc…you can always come back to Destiny, like many of us have! Don’t delete years of mostly good memories just to vent your justifiable frustration at BHQ…just take a break, and have a kit-kat and a nice cup of tea, instead! ✅ Chin up, Guardian! 👍 That is all. Play Fair! Play Nice! Don’t Quit / Cheat.👈 Ease Springs! 🖖👻

You’re a 550 Titan. I’m pretty sure most of the complaints put you in the sweat category considering the level-based scoring. If you are having trouble scoring with that massive advantage, then you might need to optimize your loadout per Devrim Kay…
-
2 RepliesFree gear every day that’s helps you level up The seal you can do on level ten Sweats have something to chase If you don’t care about an helmet it’s a good event
-
1 ReplyIt took you this long to lose faith in Bungie???
-
Same for me…I’m not sure I can see a way for that faith to be restored
-
the event is for the cheaters. given the 70 percent of raid cheaters caught. the actual numbers of cheats would be a alarming amount. so when you see a player wearing the flaming banana helmet there is a high possibility you are playing with a cheat,it may very well be bungie already knows this.

6 RepliesIf this is the thing that tipped you over and not the expansion and progression as a whole then you cannot be taken seriously my brother in light. I'm sorry.
-
1 ReplyI don’t think they know what they’re doing, are they trying to kill the game off?
-
Salt mines was already absolute trash. And now they force it on us but even worse? No thanks Bungo.

As a 450 ish....it's a bummer that I only am able to convince my old team to play during events and my team is getting shafted in scoring and loot to an extent the drops are plentiful and the matches aren't to bat but only if you can set up your own modifiers... With the mod list being as open as it is It's actually quite fun you can focus on your build and it's not super difficult but the match made stuff with the preset modifiers is garbage all modifier should be available for all activities customize-wise that would draw a lot more people in... But most importantly they need to do a much better job considering what mods are used in the matchmade lists or at least provide different tiers of options to pick from for one activity

How are you gonna complain about an event that isn't even made for you lol. The core of the event is made for low power players to get caught up and farm event weapons they missed. The top 1% chase is for "the sweats" so stop acting like you were ever gonna drop in and immediately clear everyone.

It's like playing against ulitmate sweaties without knowing you are competing against sweatbags.
550 titan calling ppl sweaty btw. It's just a cosmetic relax.

really? it took you this long?
-
You should have lost faith ages ago. It's been years of mistake after mistake after mistake
-
6 RepliesAnd still don't know what your point is apart from "I don't like the event".
-
2 RepliesWhat gap is getting bigger here? The only thing the "sweatbags" are getting here is a cosmetic.
