DELETE THE PORTAL
Delete the entire portal it’s never going to work. The score system is dumb bring back gms and delete solo ops

It won't be removed anytime soon. Renegades is coming out in a month, and it was probably built with the Portal in mind. If they were to remove the Portal now, then they would have to complete restructure how Renegades works. And they can't afford to delay a release at a time like this.

10 RepliesThe portal is fine. It's a starting point that helps guide players to gear and activities while letting them play the difficulty they want and with whom they want to play with. All it needs is the rest of the old activities added to it, like gambit, the other pvp modes, raids, etc. And maybe make it look like the world screen so that we still get the exploration feel of going from location to location in space. Also, if they delete the portal, yall will all of a sudden miss it, like yall do everything when they bring something new and remove it. Ex: pathfinder. Yall hated it while it was here. The sec they removed it, there was nothing but love for it lol. Same would happen with the portal. You'd see the talk turn to 'why can't they just make it easier to pick activities, chase certain items we need/want, select mods, have a starting point to guide players, etc, like the portal did?' Lol.

For instance, we complained about modifiers. They could have just up'ed the completion scores so that we didnt have to put on as many for a B+. Did they do that? Nope, they implemented deltas we cant change instead - and now no one is happy. And not only that, instead of implementing the fix within a week they spend 2 months on a new system. It's just a waste of resources.

The portal, and all the recent events like solstice, arms week, fotl and call to arms are Bungie's new 'cookie cutter' model designed to be maintained by minimum staff. They are all alike, with reward tracks, daily and weekly challenges, etc, just slot in new graphics and text. I can't see them removing it, its their model going forward with the limited resources they have. 😥

Hear me out I think if they put the Portal as a weekend thing like trials but add extra xp plus weapons and armor obviously it would make for a cool experience/event. But yeah Portal everyday feels like a generic mobile game
