Not done anything yet but from the explanation in game. Correct me if I'm wrong and misunderstood it. It sounds like there trying to force the community to essentially do a competitive event. As if people who don't like competitive thing what competitive stuff put in the events. Guardian games may be technically competitive but rewards aren't reliant on it like this event seems to explain.

Bungie have already announced that they'll be tuning the activities in this event. Let's be real, until that helmet becomes available to more people, no one is going to care.

Yea just doing it for the renegades loot boxes and a few T5 combo traits combos I couldn't get in previous events. Salt mines 4 life I guess. Let those who try hard get the emblem and the flaming weenise helms.

Game is done for after Renegades there is a reason everything they launch is shite.

I'm not the least bit interested in playing this event. The only thing that was fun was solstice. Everything else has been crap.

I'm just tired of running the same C2A mission(s), with matchmaking, since I solo queue, hoping to get a higher score to gain more points. I find it odd that Coil, Salt Mines and Heliostat all give bonus engrams, but Proving grounds gives only a C2A engram. Why does Bungie do this. How is a solo player like myself ever going to get enough points to even see a shiny glimpse of that ornament? Bungie rally stuck it to the player community, yea, sure the loot is fine, but certain things are unobtainable due to Bungie lack of QA. Bungie says their listening to player feedback, but will due nothing to fix the issue. So yea, I'm done. Anyone know how much Arc Raiders is on steam?

This game isn't going to get better. They would need to completely remove any trace of the "Portal" and my guess is they are doubling down on it. It's being slowly downsized. Renegades was planned way before all of this happened and they are contractually obligated to get it out the door. Again, pure speculation, but seeing as how it drops December 2nd, there is nothing coming after Renegades. It's a cash grab for Sony to get as much out of the studio as possible. Once Marathon comes out and flops they'll shut the lights off. We may see a re-make, reprisal, D3 in 10 years but the game you once knew and loved is gone forever. What do businesses do when they are going out of business? They basically give EVERYTHING away. Look at what you get right now when you load into the tower. I get 5 Tier 5 drops EVERY DAY. They are handing you everything because they know the end is near. Eventually DMG will drop a tweet that there's a surprise livestream coming in the next few days. People will speculate that its D3 or this or that. It will be them coming on to tell us that after a decade the game will be slowing down. Numbers just aren't what they need to be and blah, blah, blah. I am the minority but my hope is that one day they will wipe out all of our vaults. Bring back RNG. Have a crafting system similar to Arc Raiders. Make planets meaningful again. Essentially turn it back into what D1 was. Legendary's are rare, Exotic's are hyper rare. I want this game to be what Arc Raiders is essentially but with strikes, missions, nightfalls, dungeons and raids. I want to drop into a planet and feel like there's real danger but the loot I may obtain is worth the risk. Loot should be discovered and not explained in a ViDoc 3 weeks before I even get to play it. Nothing is special. Nothing is exciting. It's all watered down crap with guns that don't drastically change my power fantasy.

Probably not the worst, but definitely not The greatest, another failed event, added to their track records. They literally have one strike (COIL) that is completely busted, there's a couple of ads that has an unlimited over shields, They should just remove coil from the rotation its to bugged

There's all this talk about the roadmap - something I couldnt care less about. What they need to do is to announce that they're making the game enjoyable to play again, regardless of the content we have ahead of us. And they need to announce those changes NOW. If Renegades roll around and they havent lowered the deltas for daily activities and made sure that certain modifiers wont be active at the same time - or that modfiers will be optional - I'm out of here. As for the event, I've seen some people argue that it's a "free event". Yeah it may be but when everything els in their game suck at the moment and they need things to keep people around one would think that they'd give it some more thought - instead of making the situation worse.

I honestly have no urge to play the "event" at all. Can it really even be called an event? Its the same activities that we have been player, with slight modifications and altered scoring. This is the least interested that I have been to play this game for an extremely long time. Portal is less of an issue compared to vault limits, and especially soft sunsetting. I have been 550 for more than a month, and there is just no loot/activity incentive for me to play. I have already beaten to death everything in the Portal while power grinding. IMHO, I want to avoid portal activities now because of the burnout after power grind. At this point, I feel like I need to find something else to bide my time until Renegades comes out. I would play PvP, but its an absolute mess with how bad connections have been.

I think you should give up. I left, best gaming decision I ever made. I hope you are able to move on, this game sounds like a drag.
