I get nothing but Tier 5s now. Shower of it. Cool. But now I don’t care about it. It’s just the standard. I have so many pieces of tier 5 loot, that I don’t even know what’s good anymore. Every piece of armor is max stats with different potentially useful distributions.
Every weapon has basically a 50/50 chance of having 1 god roll combination.
It’s becoming overwhelming to evaluate and none of it makes me feel like this loot is unique in anyway, it’s like I just don’t know what to keep and toss at this point. It’s abundance for the sake of abundance.

I like it. Yes, I need to delete doubles/triples/quadruples... The pain of choice... The new system is way better than the old one AND I do neither need additional materials nor go to Thralls way, Kalli or whatsoever to farm hundreds of kills for enhancing a perk. The beauty of the new system is I can for the first time ever acquire top level loot and use it immediately in the activities I want instead of running additional hamster wheels before obtaining the supadupa enhanced version. Thank you, Bungie!

T5 means you can be happy with a single roll of most weapons. Meanwhile I have five Ros Aragos in my vault, due to the multitude of good situational perk combinations. Those could be a single example if it was a T5 weapon. A lot of things have gone in the wrong direction in this game, but T5 weapons isn't one of them.

2 RepliesEdited by NerfPaladins06: 11/6/2025 10:30:59 PMThese kind of opinions are gonna ruin the game for others. Imagine if we go back to lame 1-2 perk weapons again because YOU are tired of getting good loot and couldn't keep your opinion to yourself. I enjoy loot (weapons at least) not being such a hampster wheel it used to be. I don't want to go back to potentially having to grind forever for something I'll never get.

1 ReplyI'm just deleting them at this point, even the shiny ones. And even that has no reward because of the glimmer cap and removal of those green shards. I've a ton of candy but there is nothing to use it on. Same with the tokens. Not spent because why would I want a Tier 4 of something I'm deleting Tier 5s of? Or ascendant shards, or the crafting shard (there's nothing craft) We should have been able to get cosmetics. I mean who is going to spend money in Eververse when the game looks like it'll get turned off before the end of the star wars cash grab? But the truth is that the game itself is played out. The player numbers are drying up, the dev's ideas have dried up, the money is drying up. I doubt even a D3 can save it now. I'd definitely buy and play a D1 remaster for PC though!
It’s becoming overwhelming to evaluate and none of it makes me feel like this loot is unique in anyway
Because none of it is unique on its own, remove the perks and you'll see every gun is the same generic gun you can find in modern day/military shooter
it’s like I just don’t know what to keep and toss at this point
Experiment, test stuff before deciding, that's the essence of loot games with different stat distribution for different builds Having loot being abundant is not the problem, loot being uninteresting is

It's a -blam!- video game. You're speaking as if there was loot that only showed off how skilled you are is a great thing. Let me ask you...if there was a broken weapon only achieved by getting to guardian rank 11, how would that change the players life? Would they get a job promotion? Would they finally find the love of their life? Would people in public give them praise and recognition? NO!!!!. STOP IT WITH THE NEED FOR GEAR ONLY ACHIEVABLE IF YOU PUT IN THE HOURS THAT OF A -blam!- STREAMER. YOU WANT IN GAME RECOGNITION, THEN REACH GUARDIAN RANK 11. BE GRATEFUL IT'S RAINING LOOT IN D2, -blam!- FINALLY. EVEN WITH THE CONSTANT DROP OF T5 I GET AT 510 I HAVE YET TO GET A T5 WEAPON WITH THE BARREL, MAG, COLUMN 3 AND 4 AND MASTERWORK PERK I WANT. D2'S RNG SUCKS AND THANK GOD IT'S RAINING T5'S TO COMPENSATE IT. FFS YOU PEOPLE ARE THE WORST!!!

Wow. Lol.

3 RepliesWhy is this a problem? Do you want to grind forever? Are you mad that you're not "special?" The system is designed to work this way. Tier was gated by Power Level and Guardian Level. You were always going to get "showers of Tier 5s" once you got high enough. I will never understand why people complain that they're getting usable gear. You're either -blam!- that there's not enough loot, or -blam!- that there's too much loot. It's like all you want to do is gamble with an illusion of winning but never actually win. Insanity.

This was basically the only other alternative to crafting and potential for weight gate. Think about it. If crafting really did "remove the satisfaction of obtaining a random weapon", which is factually wrong for several reasons, especially when you consider weight gate being proven to be a thing for YEARS before Renegades, then the only ways to satisfy players is to make every gun have: * Comparable value in stats and perks, exotics included with few to no exceptions. So all 720 smgs for example would get their AA increased to match Barrow Dyad, or Ace of Spades getting another 20-40 stability to match what you'll see on probably every 140 hand cannon in pvp after perks like Perpetual Motion as well as another 5-10 AA. * There needs to be good chances of getting the rolls you want for the weapon you want * And there needs to be no "bad" combinations with each other or perks that conflict with the weapon type. So Threat Detector on a sniper for example shouldn't drop ever, and combinations like To The Pain+Harmony also shouldn't drop. And weapons with Kill Clip can't get perks that can reload the weapon based on hits/ kills such as Rewind Rounds or Subsistence. The tier system addresses at least one of these to better replace crafting. It also saves vault space because one weapon could have multiple perfect combinations like a Giver's Blessing with Rewind, Moving Target, and Demolitionist in the left column and Kinetic Tremors, Zen Moment, and Adagio or Adrenaline Junkie in the right. It sounds to me like there are almost no negatives to this tier system except that it partially invalidates older weapons that will become absolute stat monsters if this game lasts long enough to reprise them. I can just imagine my best Rose for example (void Elemental Capacitor) having 85 range and 94 stability. Or what I consider my 2 best rolls for Redrix's Estoc, the tier system would revert most if not all the nerfs except the ADS damage fall off scalar and AA.

Edited by BoomboxCollosuss: 11/6/2025 6:54:52 PMThey quite literally need to take a year off, tidy up, simplify and DEBUG the game. At this point it's like watching the Titanic sink, and the life boats are filling up fast. The exploitation focus they've built their game around is finally breaking it, as it should. It was inevitable, and if it dies then we're all better off for it. Hello HALO. Maybe coming full circle is exactly what gaming needs. Back to basics and ousting the criminal, corporate goons.

Congrats to getting to that level. Either everyone can high stat gear with effort or only a select few get the gear and said gear is nearly impossible to get max stats. That mechanic needs to be planned in advance. Build crafting is the endgame mechanic bungie has written several times about. Give the rest of us time to catch up. Especially since Bungie decided to make the path to that level take dozens of hours of and many steps to accomplish.

Like I have 9 unique pieces of tier 5 chest armor all with different primary, secondary, and tertiary stats. All sitting at 75. These can all be used some day. But even more, they’re just the standard set bonuses of smoke jumper, last discipline, and techsec. Which means there’s like another 4 or 5 set bonuses to consider, and all of those set bonuses can now have potentially like 12 different stat distributions each I may need depending on the build.
