Was in a thread about the new Warlock Exotic, user mentioned that Mataiodoxia was trash, I went to the Shooting Range to try it out, and it doesn't have enough range to suspend any of the trash mobs in the range when standing in their standard formation - while the Shackle Grenade is able to get four Suspends.
Unless a player has 200 melee, a single melee attack can't kill at -30 Delta, meaning I've got to spend multiple melees to get the kill, or warming the enemy up/killing them off, which really reduces the Exotic's Utility, but even then, when the kill does come, the Suspend has less range than if I'd used one of my grenades. Plus I can take an Aspect that lets me regenerate Grenade just by dealing damage, to regenerate Melee ability I have to destroy a Tangle.
Mataiodoxia feels like I'm spending more resources to get a smaller result, they aren't well balanced right at the moment. Maybe something to give Melees more killing power, to help us use that limited suspend more efficiently, but increasing the range of the Suspend to match, then maybe even surpass our Grenade range would be where I'd start.

2 RepliesYeah, it's mid... I wouldn't call it trash though. I'm still working on it, to be sure. It's the same for Fealty on Hunter... it's mid. Alot of these dedicated Melee exotics don't do very well in harder PvE content. Like the Hunter glaive kit. It's mid. With the new Lock exotic though you get AoE DoT from all your weapons and 90% DR.
