Bungie, why not keep our class swords relevant?
Early on in the game, our toons got their own “unique” swords, Eternity’s Edge, Quickfang and Crown-Splitter…..now why didn’t you keep those swords relevant?

2 RepliesBecause players wanted to keep them open for all classes after a bug, same with the glaives as I recall.

Probably same reason titans and warlocks can equip Ace of Spades.

Class swords were never really 'relevant', just awkward. They dropped with awful perks 9 times out of 10 and were pretty much functionally useless. Once you got a couple of non-specific swords with 'Eager Edge' or 'Whirlwind Blade', you were done and could just dismantle the rest.
