New Gear trailer is pathetic, lazy, and uninspired
Gonna make this short and sweet.
2/3 new exotic armor pieces announced in the trailer will be completely useless.
Bungie has gotten so lazy, so uninspired, they added back twilight garrison (even though they said they wouldn't) but this time with an even better ability you can fly. (I know it's not twilight garrison but it might as well be)
But warlocks and hunters? We get strand vesper of radius and over shield regen.
Ive known for awhile this game is -blam!-. I've known for awhile now, Bungie is full of talentless hacks. But this is a new low (at least exotic armor-wise), and it doesn't inspire confidence for the rest of the expansion.
Wish I could refund the entire year of prophecy. Wish I wasnt an idiot, willing to give Bungie the benefit of the doubt every time, because every time they -blam!- it up.
Bungie, you want players to come back? Then close your -blam!- studio and let Sony take over, because at this point I'd rather let corporate run this franchise than you braindead -blam!-.

2 RepliesI can't really see a "twilight garrison" in a slow flying ability that likely will have a long cooldown instead of basically being able to spam it. The other 2 are boring but the Hunter one is likely going to break pvp. Remember people HATE bastion because it gives a free overshield every 3 or so minutes and now Hunters basically get a free overshield 24/7 Warlocks got screwed since their exotic looks both useless and boring. Rift suspends nearby targets is kinda eh, and the suspended enemies take dot would be nice if higher ranking enemies didn't free themselves in half a second and bosses took instant damage instead of staying suspended.

The Hunter boots also give you a damage buff with the overshield The Warlock boots will work like ensnaring slam, and suspending enemies heals you Arguably still not exciting, but they didn't list everything in the trailer

8 RepliesUnfortunately this was held back for that break glass moment & they're clearly desperate. I half believe most of these exotics wouldn't be releasing if the game wasn't in such a bad place, probably made for whatevers after renegades, so this could see less exotics in whatevers next, or maybe they know there's nothing coming so doing like cod this year & releasing everything they've been saving. We know next to nothing about renegades, like is there campaign, or is the reveal just an event & thats it? Is the location a patrol zone, a solo zone, or just a match made portal activity? What's supposed to keep us playing with no levelling being added? It releases in just over 3 weeks & they've been building a roadmap for 2 months lol. There's either only 4 staff working on destiny, or there's simply no future plans as Sony won't release budget until renegades sales are counted.

Once again, the Bungo loop; play to the echo chamber that rely on the game for their livelihood, let them build hype for you, then endure two weeks of buggy mess and tentative excitement followed by 12 weeks of delayed disappointment and decline. Cue the canned gameplay reveal video that misrepresents the entire play experience and start again at the beginning. <oh, and Warlocks get 'Abeyant Leap' - whoop-de--blam!--ing-do>

I'm getting really sick of the constant slow downs while they fire weapons being treated as awe-inspiring. That what you would do to entertain your two year old nephew, not hype up a release.
