It's getting really old just how many people are convinced D3 is possible. Bungie is in no condition to even think about starting D3. Whatever is left of the devs are either trying to salvage D2, or get Marathon out the door. They can't pull people away from D2 because that's their only source of income at the moment, and they can't pull people away from Marathon because they've already invested so much time and resources into it that it would ruin them not to release it and at least try to earn something back. They can't even put people on it after Marathon is out, because Bungie will most likely want to make sure that their games are at a reasonable position before starting something new. So all the people working on Marathon will either keep working on the game until it dies out, or be put back on D2 until player counts increase to a safe level again.
