Low population = long matchmaking for crucible
Season pass = pay to win (score bonus for owners of season pass)
No new/fun content and no weekly content
Power deltas = not playing the not fun activities
More than half activities not matchmade = not playing non-matchmade activities
No statements from game management = no future
Trials behind the Edge of Faith expansion = low Trials population
No dedicated PvP servers = poor PvP experience
Cheaters
Fireteam finder sucks
Portal sucks
No interesting story
No new enemy ene,ies
No new activities
Old raids irrelevant
No interesting new loot
We already have all weapons
No vault space increease in years
No people to develop new exciting content

All resources poured into Marathon
Bugs
Trying to make a maintenace mode of D2 with still bringing bags of money in cosmetics without new content does not seem like good longterm strategy as playe count shows.
In the current situation the only thing you can do is close for 3 years and make new story and D3 or just pull the plug.

Edited by zArseniic: 11/3/2025 5:34:50 AM⚔️ Faction Rebirth Saga – Why It Makes More Sense Than a Star Wars-Style Renegade ✦ TL;DR: Instead of taking a Star Wars-inspired direction, Bungie could have revived the classic Destiny factions — New Monarchy, Dead Orbit, and Future War Cult — as rogue powers shaping a new trilogy. Each faction aligns with a different alien race (Cabal, Hive, Vex) and represents humanity’s flaws: control, despair, and obsession. This would turn Renegade into a true Destiny story built on its own lore instead of borrowing another galaxy’s ideas. 🟥 NEW MONARCHY – “The Crimson Dominion” New Monarchy secretly survives after their fall from the Last City. Executor Hideo allies with Caiatl’s Cabal, embedding human officers within her empire. His goal is to build a human-led Cabal dominion ruled by “The True Law.” The Renegade war becomes his plan to bring order through control and military strength. ⚫ DEAD ORBIT – “The Exodus Fleet” After Hideo’s uprising, faith in the Vanguard collapses. Dead Orbit sees their moment and leads humanity’s escape beyond the Solar System. In deep space they encounter Hive warships and Taken corruption. Desperation twists into fanaticism as their ships become drifting Hive-infested fleets. Their old creed, “Abandon Earth,” becomes literal and tragic. 🔵 FUTURE WAR CULT – “The Paradox” Rogue FWC scientists resurrect Lakshmi-2 as a digital consciousness using Psion and Vex technology. The experiment fractures time, merging futures into the present. FWC evolves into a post-human technocult called The Paradox, devoted to ending the timeline itself. Their creed: “We’ve seen every ending. Now we choose one.” 🌌 THE FRACTURED TRINITY – THREE-SEASON ARC Faction | Dark Ally | Core Sin | Expansion New Monarchy | Cabal | Control | Renegade Dead Orbit | Hive / Taken | Despair | Exodus Future War Cult | Vex / Psion | Obsession | Paradox Each faction becomes a reflection of humanity’s greatest flaws, creating a trilogy that connects Destiny’s past with its future. ✦ WHY THIS MAKES MORE SENSE – Builds on Destiny’s existing universe instead of copying another. – Revives legacy factions with new purpose and darker evolution. – Creates a true internal conflict: Guardians vs. corrupted ideology. – Gives Renegade real narrative weight — rebellion, betrayal, and belief. 💠 FINAL THOUGHT Destiny doesn’t need lightsabers or desert planets to feel epic. It needs to rediscover the factions, beliefs, and fractures that once defined the Last City. Their return as corrupted forces would finally test what it truly means to be a Guardian.
