Pinnacle Ops is now Unplayable
A couple of weeks ago could solo Nightmare of Gahlran. It is now unplayable. Same with the others. The exploding nonsense and tracking fireballs associated with Festival of the Lost is terrible. Makes everything unplayable. Good job sunsetting your game, Bungie.

Even without the event modifiers there's something completely off. Pre-changes it was fairly balanced and you could increase the difficulty with modifiers on your own. Now it starts off with everything being a bullet sponge and you taking massive damage - despite being at, what they claim, is a lower delta, than I used to play at (I would never play lower than -30 in the past). I'm convinced we're actually playing at -60 or something and seeing how everything els is bugged in the game it's not unlikely.

Most random groups end up wasting all your lives before you even get a few minutes in thanks to Bungie thinking we should start with a single life, and I just tried Contest twice. Same problem we didn't even get past the first room on my first attempt. And the second when we reached the Machinist boss: 1 guy disarmed the wrong bomb and died The other guy ran away when we were both cornered and died while I was constantly low, chilled, and cornered, surviving only because of Devour. Then when I tried to finish the boss with a Nova bomb, I got knocked back mid animation right in front of one of those tree branches and blew myself up when the boss only had like 3% of it's health left. What a joke. And Onslaught, Coil, and Contest are especially bad here because unlike the original versions they DON'T have the escalating difficulty they're supposed to (with modifiers changing in Contest, but all are currently active like they're not supposed to be). You're stuck fighting up to 30 below the enemy (THANKS BUNGIE! I LOVE ALWAYS FIGHTING AT A DISADVANTAGE WHEN IM SUPPOSED TO BE STRONGER BECAUSE THAT'S THE F'ING POINT OF A LEVEL SYSTEM WHAT WITH BEING 50 ABOVE THE ENEMY!!! SOMETHING YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T UNDERSTAND AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!! THANKS FOR MAKING LEVELS 470-550 POINTLESS!!!) and they're at full power the entire time. How does that make sense? How is that fair? It's not, but it really is no wonder why the portal is such a failure even before they went back on their word and forced deltas on us again.

Yeah so much fun to get one-banged by random shht out of nowhere that didn’t even exist last week.

The only ones I can do is Presage and Whisper solo, Gahlran takes me way too long other than that, the purple enemies that shoot exploding pumpkins you can't turn off and those have killed me so many dam times

You can disable the festival of the lost stuff. Pinnacle ops is rough without a dedicated group since there is almost no matchmaking
