This will be a somewhat long post with a few key topics and points.
Comp/Trials
Map selection seems to mostly be the new maps over and over again, looks at this weeks trials map realizing we already had it this season. Please keep it from recycling the same four maps.
Ok here’s the big one let’s talk Control in the portal this is probably the most important PvP playlist as its player count is above all the rest, but how can we make it better?
Easy, loosen the skill requirements for finding matches try to prioritize connection based matches first this will help out, especially if the population gets lower, second add in supremacy and slayer so the playlist will have a better variety of game types.

Comp/Trials maps need more options, rather than the what, only five or six maps? You're right about that, things are getting boring in these modes. Maps are an easy fix, but playlists are a tougher problem to remedy right now. Bungie needs to fix the Crucible that we have now before adding more playlists that will divide the low player count. But yes, I agree that more playlists do keep things from getting stale. Switching between Rumble, Control, and Clash was great. But loosening the skill requirements even more is a terrible idea. It would make matchmaking easier at first, but it would be less fun and would push players away over time. And people leaving matches would also happen more often when they don't get their desired game mode. As of Edge of Fate, the skill disparity of matchmaking is awful. I never have a PvP match where the teams are neck and neck. One team just about always stomps the other. A fifth of my games are mercies. Before Edge of Fate, mercies were like once every 15-20 games. Connection priority matchmaking does sound like a good idea right now. People are rubberbanding, having bugged audio, and delayed gun reloads in Ash & Iron PvP. This would smooth things out for a majority of lobbies. Though the other lobbies would then be.... interesting. But if Bungie manages to stabilize their servers in Renegades, it would not be a necessary matchmaking improvement. We can all agree on one thing though: Bungie shat the bed.
