As a fan, I wouldn’t make a Destiny 3.
I’d keep Destiny 2 alive — but give it a massive, game-changing update.
Armor:
There would only be one main armor set.
Everything else would be ornaments that drop from raids, dungeons, strikes, planets, and PvP. That way, style becomes a reward for effort and dedication.
Armor Mods:
Each activity would have its own exclusive mods — and they’d only work in that activity.
PvP mods for PvP. Raid mods for Raids. Dungeon mods for Dungeons.
Simple, focused, and rewarding.
Planets:
Planets would change every week, like the Dreaming City once did.
Each planet would have unique activities, weapons, and armor.
You’d have three months to chase them — then the activities and rewards would rotate into something new.
Just like the old Escalation Protocol days, where every week felt alive.
Weapons:
Weapons would have mod slots too, with activity-specific mods you can earn.
Some would be rare and powerful, but they’d only work in the activity they drop from.
PvP would have its own exclusive mods — only for those who live for the Crucible.
Raids:
Every six months, raids would get new ornaments and mod rotations to keep them exciting and fresh.
And most importantly — I’d bring all the vaulted content back into the game. Every piece of Destiny history deserves to be played again.
The game would be 100% free-to-play, with an optional premium pass for cosmetics and extras.
Events:
There would be world bosses appearing on planets — epic encounters for everyone to join.
And smaller mini-events that drop random cosmetics, just for fun.
Community Love:
Players who help new Guardians through raids or endgame activities would earn exclusive cosmetics — ornaments, emblems, and trackers that prove their kindness and leadership.
Vex Portal:
I’d add a mysterious Vex Portal in the Tower.
Jumping in would throw you into a random activity with random modifiers and locked gear — but with exclusive rewards waiting for those brave enough to face the unknown.
And finally…
I’d hit the reset button.
A complete fresh start for everyone.
All Guardians would begin again — max level 40, power 200. A new journey for all.
But for those who’ve been here since the beginning — the veterans who gave years of their lives to Destiny — they’d receive something truly special:
an exclusive seal, a full armor set, an emblem, and a shader that can never be dropped again.
A symbol of their legacy that will live forever in the stars.

Not trying to steal your limelight but all they need to do is bring new factions with their own armor, bounties, and weapons. Open all the planets with the options of modes (Normal, legendary, Mythic) with drops ranging from tier(if necessary). And they can bring the Portal in the weekends with the means to earn higher than normal XP and rare loot. And NO dumb modifiers! And for public events let the Nine make it interesting And have it sorta "Onslaught-ish" but not 50 rounds just like a normal public event
