You’d be delivered a new one every night, obviously, else it would get gross fairly quickly I think.

If my legal home address is a sandwich shop, and I don't actually sleep in it... Does this service cost me anything? 2' tall, 2' wide (maybe add a little? Not sure how wide people's shoulders are on average), and however long is a lotta bread. That's a lotta sandwiches. So many crustless sandwiches.

I would prefer a croissant type deal...a bit of structure on the outside fluffy on the inside...like a sleeping bag...and you could munch on the outer flakes if you need a midnight snack ...

5 RepliesKeep in mind that I'm just a crusty old guy, but I think it sounds pretty crummy and I imagine it would get pretty stale after a while.

Edited by Stalkholm: 10/30/2025 5:26:43 PMOn the one hand: Soft, warm, fluffy, smells good, easy access to midnight snacks. On the other hand: Yeast, weevils, birds might eat you, expensive bread disposal costs. While I think the idea of a bread bed has merit, I can definitely see some downsides. Also who is subsidizing all this bed baking? Can a seven foot long loaf of bed even be baked in 24 hours? The logistics seem problematic. I guess it would also depend on the bread. I don't think I could rest easily in sour dough. French bread? Sure, definitely! But there are also some breads that are very pointy, you'd wake up with crumbs in your craw. I dunno. Start a KickStarter, I'll chip in ten bucks; it's worth a shot!

2 RepliesMy biggest concern is the crumbs. They’d get everywhere!
