Please embrace this quote again. You guys haven't followed it for sometime now. Really you want to tell me the content modern content you make, you want to replay over and over again?
Have your dev team or higher ups replay some of Bungie's old games to gain that Bungie magic inspiration. D1, The Bungie era Halo's, Marathon Trilogy, Pathways.
This modern Bungie has lost its magic, replay the games and rekindle it please

1 ReplyTheir new content is great. I'd say EoF is the 3rd best campaign they've made, & I haven't heard any complaints about Desert Perpetual. The biggest problem is the amount of content they're making.
-
1 ReplyThey don't give a -blam!- anymore, they are more about micro-transactions and 'engagement time'. Plus they are probably more concerned with Marathon to give two shits about Destiny these days and I honestly hope marathon is just as dead on arrival as Concord was just to show how much of a fool's errand it was.

That quote is a prime example why Warframe and it's community is where it is today
-
Now its "WE MAKE GAMES NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY" 😀
-
1 ReplyI thought all those guys that cared about that left bungie?
-
1 Reply“We make games Pete parsons realllllllllly wanted you to play” Rip marathon 💀
-
It's 2025 "we make games no one wants to play"
-
Now they make games no one wants to play.

4 RepliesI'm still laughing that they changed their slogan to a vague, corporatized replacement that means nothing but "sounds impressive." All corporations do this and it kills me.

Jet Set WillyIt’s the final countdown (oh oh-oh oh) - old
Sad thing is I think a lot of people do still want to play Destiny 2. They just don’t actually play it because of the changes since EoF, bugs, etc.. -
4 RepliesI'd really want to ask them this: "You guys want to play a game that with one expansion, and players warned months in advance this would happen, * invalidated 80-90% of the game * Your strength doesn't matter because you're always going to be fighting at a disadvantage despite advertising power would be enabled in the custom portal activities * Every event is buggy to the point it invalidates any justification for over half the time/ grind, and the event store itself is worthless once you're a high enough level, making half the event itself pointless because there's nothing of value to spend the time gated currency on * The 'modern' way to play is a daily selection of missions and featured gear which will be a major turn off if they're the wrong ones or the modifiers screw over players hard enough * Pvp for a variety of reasons is infested with cheaters (hackers, Xim/ Cronus, or MnK in console lobbies) or complete tryhards who are easy to mistake for cheaters * The modern pvp no longer cycles any special modes weekly * Reprised dungeons but don't offer reprised dungeon loot" And more I'm probably forgetting. At this point, most people are probably just playing because they don't know what else to play, don't own any other games they DO want to play, or because of FOMO. I'm still grinding for my ideal holofoil SMG and bow after well over 120 engrams and who knows how many FOTL drops.

Makes me think even they don't wana play their game.
-
they made the game for streamers and now those content creators play other games 🤣 arc raiders

6 RepliesEdited by Discovery: 10/30/2025 2:59:21 PMI think they do make the games they want to play and changing Destiny to what they want, that is the problem. They do not have a real close connection with the larger player base and thus they don't know what we want. They have focused on the content creators and what they say they want and their followers. Couple that with them having to balance their development with their smaller costume and it is a perfect recipe for failure. With a smaller budget and less people it drives the development to focus on less real content but instead to prolong the game time by making it more difficult, making things more repetitive, adding meaningless mechanics that prolong the game time etc., and having microtransactions of course. I do love Destinys universe, but these last years I play less and less since they game has changed so much, in my opinion and in overall, to the worse. I haven't played in several weeks, if not a month or more. Everyone has different taste, and many probably like the changes, I respect that. However reading here on the forum these last months, many people think Destiny has gotten worse and worse these last years. Sure, Bungie tries do add a band-aid here and there after the release of EoF, but in order to fix broken legs you'll need more than a band-aid. And the question remains if Bungie can afford something more than band-aids.

That Bungie left along time ago In 2025 it's "We make microtransactuons we want to sell"

1 ReplyJust admit the mistake that was done!!! Rewind it to pre Ash and iron and redo it! Destiny 2 sunseted 80-90% of the game pretty much, there is no use to play the content outside portal, We are done with the freaking portal And ut sux!! Main reason you lost so much players. Is the Portal!

They do, that's why Eververse is fully stocked and 100% bug-free...

Edited by Coal: 10/31/2025 6:37:30 AMI miss the days when the devs were a bunch of nerdy white dudes who you COULD TELL played video games. Now we got nothing but LG-HDTV people that look like their hobbies are asking for grocery store managers. This is not exclusive to Bungie, damn near every modern western AAA dev studio looks like this. Dare I say that’s why every modern AAA game made by a western game studio fkn blows? These studios are also ran by a bunch of business execs that don’t know squat about video games and only chase profit numbers. That may work in other industries, but not in gaming. Only gamers know what gamers want. They have yet to learn this.

See that mountain over there?

Edited by Cooper: 10/31/2025 2:54:02 AMBungie hasn't wanted to play destiny since D1 and by that I mean d1 year one because after they cut the game to pieces they had to put the work to make it actually enjoyable. Bungie, unfortunately, has that. Let's start this insane project idea but never follow through to make it real or even maintain it Mentality.

"We make Games we want to play" Bungie: We don't want to play this game.

Edited by Talia Sendua: 10/30/2025 8:14:13 PM
This modern Bungie has lost its magic, replay the games and rekindle it please
Brother, you must understand, the devs at Bungie either don't care that much because they play other games OR because higher ups don't let them do their thing (the later being likely more the case). At the end of the day, the higher ups are their employers and when you are a dev on board of a wrecked ship like Bungie, you have to make the decision "do I make content that is fun and risk being fired or do I make content as I am told to do and keep getting paid for now". I really don't want to know how the atmosphere for the devs at Bungie must be. But I can imagine it being some kind of Concord-like feeling where the smallest misstep will get you fired.

I'd be on playing right now if I didnt have to look through 15 modifiers before starting every activity - to make sure I was equipped with the right build, mods and weapons they pigeonhole me into. And even when I do those things I have to pray to every deity that the two random people I'm matched with did the same thing (they wont btw), or it'll pretty much be another solo run.
